We should let Brooks get a few games in before judging him.. hell look how many years we gave David Carr.
Brooks made 2 good passes where the shooter missed what should have been easy lay ups. The main problem was defense, and 2 fouls in only 3 minutes of play. He deserves more chances based on our lack of any other good options though.
Brooks will get his shine. Even if it isn't this year. Dude is still and rookie and can only get better.
It looked like he was comfortable on offense, knew what to do with the ball and was trying too hard on defense. I would have liked to see him in the 2nd half..... DD
I think he's shown he can play. Once he settles down and gets in to a rhythm, I really think he can contribute. I agree, seeing him in the second half would've been nice...if only for a few minutes.
Brooks will get his chance. But it may not happen with the Rockets. The more we sputter, the more likely he gets traded.
Aaron Brooks isn't the answer to anything. If we are pinning hopes on him we are in big trouble. He will be stuck on someone's bench in two years or out of the league. Just like JL jr. Lots of energy but just too small
The only thing AB and JL3 have in common is that they both lack legit NBA PG size and height. That is where the comparison ends. You can say many things to knock AB, but you cant compare him to JL3 in anything other than size. If they are the same player, why would the Rox draft him in the first round and pay him more than JL3 right from the get-go?
haha my man DD has got this right...give the little man a chance! he showed some heart and good promise (remember he impressed kobe over the summer, and he's impressing me) tonight...
I never saw Jon Lucas pass the ball the way AB did tonight. Brooks has legitimate playmaking ability and court vision/awareness, and is always a threat to score when he drives to the hoop (I was kinda wishing Adelman allowed him to do that more). Brooks is also a better defender.
He should get this 3 pointers straight. Despite the spark, he was a bit too tentative sometime, just like everyone else.
I think that's expected for a rookie seeing his first real playing time. That's something playing time will fix.
word I like how he went toe to toe with AI. Showed guts. I lvoe his quickness tho, it's just nice having a PG not afraid to finish and who knows when he turns the corner on his defender he's making the lay up. Alston just isn't as confident going to the rack.
