of course not. Houston is too polluted to see the sky, or there are too many lights to see anything.

Was this at about 8:50? My daughters and I were on HWY 6, and it is clear for a long stretch from Clay to HWY6, so clear that they said: "OMG! A shooting star! I call it!" I says to them: "uh, no... that was a plane... :D " "NO, DAD... it WAS!" I gotta ask them which way it went.

    Nice call p.

Your first post was a PESSIMIST "of course not" and "Houston is too polluted"... now you're saying you were outside and "didn't see anything". What's next?

Considering pgabriel said he saw it at around 6, while you're daughters saw something at almost 9, I'm going to go out on a limb and say you both saw two different things.

I didn't see anything because there was too much light outside.

my daughter and i saw. don't know the exact time but you could still sunlight on the western horizon. so it was probably around 5:45-6pm. it was moving south to north or possibly southeast to northwest. pretty cool.

I've been seeing streaks of light for 40 years. How do you tell the difference??
