For me, he is shaping my opinion in a similar way that is cousin Vince has:

-Ever since he intentionally shut things down in Orlando (Vince in Toronto), he's stripped of any benefit of the doubt in my eyes. That doesn't mean I always think the worst, it just means no automatic benefit of the doubt. Same goes for Steve after his Knicks vacation for "tendinitis."

-What immediately struck me as awfully odd and a red flag was his comments about why he stopped playing. You expect to hear "I gave it a go, I wanted to be out there, but the knee just wouldn't let me." What he said was, "Doctors, coaches and trainers saw how I was moving out there and decided to shut me down." To me that sounds a LOT more like he was given an out and took it. True or not.

-Whether it is his lack of durability or determination, I'm rapidly getting tired of the McGrady era. He attempted to take the last few weeks of last season off with a bogus injury, and got called out on it by Van Gundy publicly. I don't want that kind of "mild interest in winning" attitude on my team. I will die a Rockets fan, but that doesn't mean I will have blind loyalty to team stars that disgrace their uniforms with apathy.

I can handle a losing team that's out-talented. I can't be okay with a directionless franchise or a team that doesn't care about contending.

no....and that is the first thing I thought when I heard he didn't want an MRI last night.....that makes no sense not to get an MRI done this early in the season........I don't think it hurts as much as he's letting on.........I think he's opening a can of quit..............nice to know the majority of the people on here agree with me............

Let's see.... We all witnessed him bump his knee while attacking the rim 2 games ago. Ever since he's been limping up and down the court. A guy that heavily relies on elevation for his jumpshot is short on all his shots. hmmm.... maybe he IS injured?

    thank you.

Tmac might not want to hear bad news and try to play through an injury. I don't think he is faking.

I don't think he is faking either. But you know what...as Clutch just said on 1560, the fact that we're even having this conversation questioning whether he's hurt or not speaks volumes.

I think he's hurt. But that doesn't mean it's a serious injury, and it really looks like one that he could play through. And for whatever reason, he lacks either the grit or the desire to tough it out.

Adam Wexler explained it perfectly last night on the rockets post game show.................this isn't the end of the season, and we are not in the playoffs.....that means if you do think you are injured you SHOULD get the MRI, because

a.) you're hurting your team by playing injured
b.) you make people believe you're faking it
c.) which is the most important..... you could possibly make it worst by playing on it, and we could have a career or season ending injury on our hands.

If tmac gets an MRI done we will know if he's just a "quitter" or a "r****ded quitter" (r****ded because he didn't get an MRI done on a severly damaged knee.....and regardless if the test results are pos. or neg. he's a quitter because he already has a strong foundation for being one)

You can play through injuries and make them worse. If it was the playoffs I would understand.

Well, his team needs him now more than ever. And without him playing his best...there's no playoffs.

We need him to be playing well and not hurt, causing further injury. You can't play your best that way.

Tmac is a very tought player, he is playing with the injure without a time to do MRI, just set an example for a leader. I heard that he did the simliar thing in Orland.

Well...that's my argument. Those that actually WANT to and have that burning desire to actually fight through it...will be playing and not focusing on it.

I truly believe he is hurt...but I also believe it's a mental thing with him.

You can't fight through an injury if it makes it worse. It is self defeating.

We our living out our karma. Tmac is the punching bag of the week. First it was JVG, then Alston vs SF vs MJ, now Tmac. All of the negativity is coming back to haunt us.

How do we know if he plays he'll make it worse? By getting an MRI.

Oh yeah, he refuses to do that.
