    Yao.

We will have to get rid of T-Mac to allow Yao to truely take this roll. It looks like Yao is starting to accept some responsibility for the teams performance and call people out but T-Mac is taking offense to it. T-Mac will never accept any roll outside of leader and he doesn't have the personality to take a team to a championship as the leader.

If you have ever been around dogs, the one who has been around longest is always the alpha and Yao can't take over with T-Mac here.

I don't even think Yao has the Balls to take it to the next level. He has the work ethics and determination but you can only do so much with his abilities.

TMac has repeatedly deferred to Yao. Have you been paying attention?

    And it's "role," not "roll."

I don't expect spelling or grammar lessons from somebody with "Fieriness" in their signature.

Im sure there is a spelling bbs somewhere you can go hang out there.

I don't think Yao is ready to be #1 and don't know if he ever will. Look at our record when T-Mac is out. It is pretty damn horrible. Last season, we might have won maybe one or two games without T-Mac. But we won a whole bunch when Yao was out. I guess it all depends on who we could get for T-Mac. And I don't think we'll get any equal value for him.

I was thinking along the same lines that maybe Tmac is sulking about being replaced by Yao as the team's leader.

But the team's record without Tmac and with Yao is horrible, if we traded Tmac we would need to get some serious young value in return.

I do agree that the leadership change is having an effect on Tmac....at least that is how it seems.

In words only, but not in actions....

Exactly. With no TMac we aren't even a decent team. We're a PATHETIC team. We would struggle against the TWolves without TMac. Now, even with TMac, we're only a .500 team so imagine what we'd be without him....

It kind of makes you wonder about the "supporting" cast. We've had so many non-NBA calibre players, it makes you sick. Worse yet, these non-NBA calibre players are STARTING for us. Sigh.

Yao needs to just take control of the team like the Dream has stated this team should be Yao's team. Yao should lead like he does for his CNT and stop worrying about hurting his team mates feelings especially T-Mac's.

    i know we're better with him...over the long haul, that's a given.

but actually lately, we've been playing better with him on the bench. it's like there's this aura around him on the court that all the other role players are scared of. when he goes out, everybody relaxes a bit and just plays ball.

rick seems to be in an experimenting mood nowadays...and mcgrady seems to be playing through an "injury" so maybe we'll see more of him on the bench for stretches.

He should have a sit down with Tmac first and discuss what he is going to do and what his expectations for Tmac are....

Not in a negative way, but not in a wishy washy manner either......

    Be firm but kind.

Spelling is one thing, but using a wrong word is another.

It's like using are vs. our. I've seen that before if you can believe that. All I could say is wow.

Anyway, regarding your post. Wish a trade for Mac, but *IF* it happens expect it to be for something like we gave up for him. Now look at the pieces that we traded for him. You will get a bunch of sub par players, since I doubt anyone would do a straight up star for star trade.

Tracy's salary paried up with his skill level makes it very difficult to move him if you plan on getting better. You trade him you will take a step back and go to "rebuilding."

Funny stuff. If you were trying to insult him by providing an example of his inability to spell correctly...you failed miserably.

Fieriness is the noun form of the word fiery.

Nice try, though! You get morale points! Continue.

T-mac is "Fools Gold"! You think you have something valuable but you can't get anything out of it or for it. T-mac soft? Yes! Heartless, courage less and brainless like i the movie Wizard of OZ, we only need to get him so Red Slippers. There's no place like home. There's no place like home. IMO, he's becoming more like cancer every season. I know I will be bashed by all the T-mac lovers, but the truth hurts. Out of all the teams the Rockets have had, T-mac is the softest player of them all. Sorry guys, but don't be fooled by the FOOLS GOLD! Yao is the leader of this team and T-mac pouts when things don't go his way. It's Time to send T-mac packing!!!!! I would rather have a player with less talent but more heart. IMO this team would run much better with Tracy out of the line up. We have plenty of good players that I feel would step up their game if Tracy wasn't on the court. He's good a killing any momentum when his shot is off, which seems to be every other game.

Yes, Yao is our Alpha dog!!!!!!

OK OK I give. Before I take anymore of a beating over my spelling. I don't spend my time at dictionary.com checking my definitions and the typo for roll instead of role is my mistake. I hope that, and it appears that most posters including the ones that have complained about this typo got the meaning of my post.

What does that even mean? TMac is happy to give the ball up and take less shots than Yao.
