Without Greg Oden they have won 8 in a row, and now are ahead of the Rockets, but just watching them play with fire and passion makes me jealous.

They are lead by Brandon Roy and a cast of good players....

They are going to just get better and better....dang the West is tough.

Watching Brandon Roy and thinking of him as a possible Rocket makes me hurt. The guy is special and has qualities few NBA players have. He is exactly the type of very talented, intelligent, "heart"y take charge kind of backcourt player all championship teams have. Sarge is one of my favorite NBA coaches and at some point he must get the credit he deserves.

Tonight, the Blazers waited until the Hornets self-destructed midway in the 4th quarter. Mo Pete was an idiot for getting throw out and the Hornet jacked up about 15 three-pointers in the last quarter.

Maybe Aldridge needs to be serious about not returning until they lose. ;)

Yup, i've noticed this also. They're 13-12 without Oden and Aldridge for a stretch of those games.

Brandon Roy is obviously the real deal. He's a lot like Ginobili in that he's one of the best slashers and ball handlers for a two playing the game today. He's the backbone of a team that would probably be no-T-Mac and no-LeBron bad without him.

I think they still have some issues at PG (Jack, Blake good enough?) but overall they're young, athletic, dynamic and there's no quit in this bunch. Not to mention they're coached by possibly the most underrated coach in the game.

They're going to be a formidable team for years. And have I mentioned that I really want Travis Outlaw in Houston?

eh teams like the blazers and hornets are playing there best ball right now on that beginning of the season high. We're not. When we finally do hit our high, and they come back down to earth we'll pummel them in the standings. But the west is flat out stacked.

how about them blazers hm? 13-12 and 8 straight. things dont look too good for the rockets in the mighty west right now, but of course "the guys need time to gel, new coach, new players, new system, thing will get better with this line up, bla bla bla!"

i was on a business trip this past weekend in portland and got to go to a blazers game. i was sitting behind the jazz bench on friday night (rooting against the j*zz of course). granted okur was not playing, but the blazers played a very solid game.

they were going back and forth with the jazz early, then the jazz jumped out to a 11 point lead. a young team bound for the lottery every year might have folded there, but the blazers had already won 5 in a row, and they looked poised in cutting the lead all the way down and eventually winning the game.

another note, the blazers fans are good. it was pretty much a packed house and it was very loud, with people actually in the expensive seats and cheering. their arena is a lot smaller so that may have something to do with the noise, but man, i was jealous that their fans would actually all show up and make some noise for their team.

their mascot sucks balls, i think clutch really is in a world of his own. but yeah, the blazers seem like they would like to make a playoff push. i don't know if they'll get in, but they are a couple years away from being a mid seed.

9 straight. If you don't get the chance to see Brandon Roy often, I strongly suggest you watch them on ESPN Christmas evening. He threw 25/9/8 on the Raptors, who wilted down the stretch. His left hand finishes are a thing of beauty.

I'm still not ready to call the Blazers a playoff team because not too long ago they had a 1-9 stretch. They are so young that major bumps surely lie ahead.

look at this article on brandon roy. it really pains me to see that we were so close to getting him. then also that we could've had gay... but that's a different story.

Is anyone else watching this 16-2 against the Nugs? Mr. 4th Quarter (Travis Outlaw) and James Jones this time around. This is a fun team to watch.

Im rooting for the Blazers tonight! They are on their way to winning 10 in a row by way of the Nuggets. This team looks good. They are a very young team but they play well together in spite of their lack of overall experience. I like watching them, they are like a good version of the clippers a few years back when the clippers kept on drafting really good players but didnt have anything to show for it.

no way don't root for them, they are our enemy as they are ahead of us in the standings and last time I checked we are out of the Playoffs.

Brandon Roooooooy! stuffs Melo AND grabs the ball in mid-air. Blazers win. Even when he doesn't shoot well Roy does something special.

Just think how good they'd be if they had taken Chris Paul or Deron Williams instead of Martel Webster.

Just think about how good the Rockets are with Brandon Roy if not because of one moron won some meaningless games and biatched about fiinishing a losing season in a high note.

You are thinking of the dumb Hawks, who took Marvin Williams at #2. Webster was drafted after Williams and Paul.

Yes way. If the Nuggets lose ground in the standings that works out well for us. Two games over 500 isnt gonna cut it, so any chance the lower echelon teams have to slap around the projected division leaders in the league Im all for it bcuz the rockets are in the toughest division of all.
