History is once again repeating it's self for the Rockets we saw the team fire Rudy-T and bring in JVG. JVG was given some time to make the old roster work and when it didn't the roster was totally remade around Yao. It's painfully obvious the Rockets don't have the players to run RA's system and minor tweaks have already been done in the off season and for the most part our new additions have failed to help the team become a contending team.

I feel one of our stars will be traded this season or during the off season. The question is which one will it be? Yao is a great player but is he a player that can carry a team? When Mac has been hurt and Yao has been the man we've struggled to beat even the scrub teams of the league. Yao is a great post presence and has passion for the game. He plays hard every night and it hurts him when we lose. The problem with Yao is he can easily be taken out of the game by fronting and doubling him. This team has never figured out how to get him the ball on a consistent basis. Not to mention he often turns the ball over at crucial times that kills the teams chance to win. Yao is one of the few post players left in the NBA and he is the biggest cash cow for the team and because of this he will likely stay.

Now lets move on to T-mac. His talent is undeniable the guy can do it all. The question with T-mac has always been his heart and will to win. When Yao has gotten hurt Mac has stepped up his game along with guys like Deke and J-howard and carried this team to respectable records. Through the first 7 games of this season he looked like the Magic Mac that won scoring titles. He was taking the ball to the basket and finishing in the half court or on the break. He was playing hard and carrying the team when they needed it and he was making the players around him better with his passing and playmaking ability. Lately, his body language has been horrible and he always seems to be coasting through games. He's regressed back to jump shot T-mac the same guy who shoots us out of games by jacking ill advised jump shots when we need a play going towards the basket. The passion is no longer evident and the losing does not seem to bother him at all. We will never get equal value for Mac in a trade but he is a perimeter player that is far easier to replace than a big man who can play in the post. For this reason, I feel Mac's days as a Rocket are numbered.

It's to soon to pull the plug on this team and maybe they will turn things around and contend for elite status and a title this year? Lately it seems they've taken quite a few steps backwards rather than forwards and it has been painful to watch. If things don't change I see big changes on the horizon for this team and one of our stars will be suiting up in a new uniform sooner rather than later.

it's too soon for morey to make a move. but if i had to choose, mac gets moved long before yao goes anywhere.

but i was thinking, back when kobe was on the block and we were all speculating what could be offered, who's to say tmac's name wasn't thrown out there, and the lakers were the ones to reject it?

I can garanteed you...neither will be traded for the simple fact that we can never get equal value in return.

yao stays.. he brings this organization too much money. IF they were going to trade anyone it would be Mcgrady. I doubt they go anywhere because we are not going to get a star caliber player in return. The only player that most people would want to see in a Rockets Uniform would be Kobe. There isn't another player that could be feasible traded for mcgrady that will bring just as much if not more to the table.

Besides those 2 our biggest assets would be Shane, Luther and Luis. I'd rather see Shane and or Luther go if any deal were to go down.

Lets give the team and the staff some time to get adapted to the system. After that then we can burn people at the stake.

We won´t ever trade Yao, never ever until he averages 1ppg and 1rpg NEVER.

T-Mac cannot be traded right now, he earns more than some superstars and is on the downside right now, maybe for pick, or maybe for some superstar demanding a trade (ala Kidd or Kobe before).

I think Adelman will be the one paying the bills.

Agreed, but before that, we need to ship out Adelman and get a coach that can get both of them to play with heart and get the most out of their talents together. Calvin Murphy anyone?

We could only trade Yao if we could keep his commercial/image rights :p and only trade "the player" away.

let's be real here, find a team actually wants tmac before we talk about trading him. no yound team will build around tmac, no top team will do a 20m changes to get a player like tmac.

No he stated that a team that actually WANT T-Mac will be the start to think about a trade, no team will suddenly say "let´s take a 20 millon salary and see what happens". Well maybe the Knicks.

he has trade value, but he isn't as high as some of you would believe.......he's soft, quits on his team, is injury prone, and has never been a winner anywhere he's been.............you aren't going to get a lot for a guy like that...........
