I think so too. This is the only good way to get maximum return to rox from yao. The problem is that this is not easy to do bcoz of too much business related to yao's trade. Is there any possible for u guys who lives there to hold some kinda campaign to catalyze this matter. Maybe chanting "Trade Yao away" during the game. Yao is still in his prime now, so folks, think about this deal. what could u acquire from this trade? just figure out a way to make it happen. thanks

What are you talking about? The moment someone publicly demands a trade, his value goes down. Unless you think he should go to Les or Morey but then again they wouldn't trade him and he would have to go to public...so Yao demanding a trade would hurt the Rox either way. And I don't think we should trade him anyway. Unless it's LeBron or Dwight but Cavs would never do it and the Magic wouldn't too.
Time for Yao to find Kobe after this season. McGrady will never be a winner .... just a great player.
NEWSFLASH for Chinese fans: YAO is going nowhere! He is a Houston Rocket for life. He is not like other NBA players that would demand a trade just because his team is 12-12 . Yeah, we are 12-12, not 0-12 or 2-12. This is not the Knicks, this is the Houston Rockets. I'm sure you China fans know all about Yao's loyalty. And he has loyalty to the Rockets, the team that worked so hard to get him here and make him feel at home. The only positive that would come out from trading Yao is that we don't have to deal with these "fans" that only root for one player. Too bad that won't happen any time soon.

You're not the first one to express such thoughts but the thing is that it will never happen. You would have to have no international players to not have any player-only-fans. We have fans because of Yao, dallas because of nowitzki, most Latvians are fans of GS because of Andris and so on. Hell, it doesn't even take foreigners - among Laker fans there are many Kobe fans who don't really care about the Lakers all that much. And I was a TOF at the beginning too.
Well we all know this isn't gonna happen. However I would like Yao to actually go public and demand the management to make some changes. Maybe that pressure will get SOMEBODY to do something. Anything. Any change is welcome.
