its too hard to get rid of his 20mil salary the way he is playing now... guess this team is stuck with him until his contract expires... too bad yao I feel sorry for you that you will get cursed along and have to spend the next few years out of the 2nd round too

The players just don't fit Adelman's system. We aren't versatile enough to drive and pass like Dallas. It makes you wonder....are we really all that talented? Last year's inside-out game did a good job of covering up our lack of offensive talent. We just dumped it to Yao and let him do his thing. The perimeter guys just stood still and shot. Now that we're in a more "open" offense that leaves a lot of room to be creative, but our players lack creativity and versatility.

I'd like to see Brooks more...and if we continue to play like this we should see him soon.

Basically, it does not appear that the personnel fit the system, if there is a system. Most of the time, I can't discern a system. I would assume that shooters are necessary for almost any system to work, the Rocket's don't have them. Teams that do, simply shoot the Rockets out of the game i.e. Dallas. Right now this team defines mediocre, and the "new system and new coach" excuses are wearing really thin. It might be merciful that this team is currently not going to the playoffs, because they don't have enough talent and intensity to beat anybody who will be going there.

I had this feeling that the Detroit game was fools gold. This is a .500 team, I saw very little energy out there wearing red and white (and not much talent either). I would move Brooks to the back- up behind Rafer, i.e. start him in the next game if Rafer isn't back. Can he be worse than Francis, James, or Head? Let's find out.

OK, after this game I think rockets can be declared failure this season. The downturn from 6:1 start isn't stopping any time soon.
The chance of making playoff is slim, the team has no direction and collectively lose market value on everyone. The boss is venting, but heh cheap is not the way...

    THIS IS NOT ADELMAN'S FAULT!!!

There is no group of players on this roster that can play his style of basketball.

THIS IS LES ALEXANDER'S FAULT FOR EXPECTING ANYTHING AFTER SWITCHING COACH'S SO QUICKLY.

Rocket!!!: It's time to trade T-mac and get kobe!
I think kobe wants to be a team member with YAO!
Yao want to be a team member with kobe also!

Let soft T-mac go away!! I don't want Yao lose his future with this kind of team member!

Yao' fan and Rocket' fan from beijing China

Rox is the last team he can fool. Orlando found that out and traded him to Houston.

People, please read what this guy just wrote.

This is a fully accurate assessment.

The problem is not Adelman, McGrady or Yao.

LES ALEXANDER BROUGHT IN ADELMAN AND EXPECTED TOO MUCH MAGIC!

This team is not collectively talented enough to play Adelman's brand of basketball.

We need to make changes and it is too late to make it happen this year.

We need to start making decisions today that will bring results next season.

We do not have the personnel to make this work.

We are still paying the price for bad management decisions dating back to the late 90s.

Les Alexander got credit because he formed a couple win-now championship teams.

He is not an owner with the aptitude, foresight and basketball intelligence to have success over the long run.

I really hope Les sells the team. He is not a capable owner and is the MOST RESPONSIBLE PARTY FOR SO MUCH OF OUR CURRENT TROUBLE!

    tmacs career is OVER

if you are aware of Ahman Greens injury, its to the ligament that attaches to the kneecap..

Tmac just said he has the same problem. It gets "irritated" every time he twists. He is done. Stick a fork in him. This would explain why he doesnt "penetrate" to the basket much. To painful and to risky.

Im telling you. This is an injury that just doesnt go away. Its like when you teara tendon, and it heals, but the rest of your life its always "tender" and "pops"....thats what happens when tmac injured his kneecap two weeks ago. (not the ankle)

plus, his body type leans to injury prone. he is long, lanky, this leads to more injuries.

id take redd or joe johnson before its to late...otherwise tmac will be a scrub next year.

keep yao, but trade tmac for a star that is healthier and younger.

    PLEASE

and oh, im TIRED of battier "being positive"...sheesh...does this guy not live in reality or has his money made him feel on cloud nine. Im tried of battier always being happy and positive. He needs to get mean..(which he cant do)..

trade battier+hayes+james+head to clippers for maggette

    trade tmac for joe johnson

    start brooks and scola

landry and francis will be backups.

    brooks/francis
    maggette/snyder
    joe johnson/wells
    scola/landry
    yao/deke

you cant tell me this is a worse team

Detroit game wasn't fools gold you aren't going to win them all.We should have won those gimme games and this lost wouldn't have meant so much + dallas has our number and we don't match well with them. We miss rafer alston and believe it or not he would have made much difference defensively and offensively.

I haven't seen any improvement in this team since the beginning of this season. And I don't think they will improve in the near future. That is the saddest thing. It looks Coach Adelman has no clue about this team at all. I want to give him a little more time. But he should know the clock is counting down. If by all-star week, the team is still like the one we saw today, I would say, get us a new coach, or, should I say, get back the old one.
