The true meltdown occured with the Francis consecutive turnovers, that gave the Mavs all the momentum they could muster and francis is not even on their team. Francis carreer is pretty much over, If you can't even play in Houston your home town with any degree of previous greatness then you are pretty much dead elsewhere.

    Goodbye Steve, you should retire.

It's time to fire RA. This ROX team has nothing new in offense and they are not improving.

like someone said in another thread

mediocre point guard >> undersized 2 guards playing point guard

    on this team.

just a regular ol' Carlos Arroyo is the kind of player the team needs, average point guard skills in everything.

I was sure we would lose our defense. When people said we would keep the defense the JVG instilled or at least something close to it I laughed. Players (especially some of the guys on this team) have to be poked and prodded regularly to consistently play great defense. Unfortunately, playing great defense isn't fun so not many guys are willing to do it.

The offense looking so horrible is what has me perplexed. It goes beyond the bad shooting from our guards. Either Rick has been blessed with such great players at other stops that his inability to coach offense was masked by the great talent of the players OR (and more likely) his offense requires these guys to think so much that they are not able to just play the game.
