I give you the groom's cake from my wedding this past summer (finally got the pics from the photographer):
I got the cake made at Julie's Cakes over in Missouri City (Murphy Road and Hwy 6). And you can't tell since it's b&w but the colors matched too. I was thinkin about getting some mini goals to put on the cake, but had no idea where I could find something like that
Pfft. My groom's cake was circular and had the old belly Rox logo. 'Course, we know how my marriage went... Good luck.
Well before you get too excited keep in mind her and her family are from Dallas and are Mavs fans. And the cake was half vanilla and half chocolate...very yummy. I was tempted to have them make a Minute Maid Park cake (which I bet they could do...one of their display groom's cakes was a golf club bag)...but I had been wanting a rockets court cake for the longest!
Come on, man...you couldn't go the full nine and put a couple of little basketball hoops on it? I have to admit, though, you did manage to capture the true essense of a Rockets game in the cake...I don't see any fans in the lower bowl...
pretty cool! would be more impressive if they used this design: <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/9O5lbmfm1t8&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/9O5lbmfm1t8&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
lol...well you don't see any fans there cause we put them on halfway through the reception Believe me, if I had gotten married what, 5 or 6 years ago it would have been!
