What do you think of the "Battle Red" uniforms?

I love the Houston Cougars, er, Texans unis. They're great.

I just didn't like the blue helmets with the red. They should've gone to either red or white helmets for that uniform.

 

The Texans could be like Oregon. 3 Helmets, 3 choices of jersey and 3 sets up pants.

For the record, I hated the red jersey and red pants. Not a big deal though.

 

They were OK. I prefer the white pants with the red jerseys. All white is cool, much better than the blue pants and white jerseys. All blue looks good every once in a while too.

 

My three year old daughter got very excited during last nights game. She saw the Texans red jerseys and said, "Daddy, there are Elmo's playing football". She then began to cheer for the Elmo football team.

IMHO, pants and jerseys should never be the same color. I'm not picking on the Texans, because plenty of other teams started this crap long before the Texans. Yes I'm talking about the Seahawks and Saints.

 

I liked them, probably just because of a novelty factor...I think once a year should be fine.

 

Count me as one who likes the white helmets.

I'm not too crazy about the rest of the uniform, though. They're not bad, but they're not great, either.

 

didn't like that battle red. looked like fresno state.

I like those helmets though

 

They're ok in moderation, once a season is cool

 

I liked them, and I liked them with the blue helmet.

I'm struck by some serious irony when folks mention Fresno State.

 

They need to go with a fuller red color scheme and ditch the stupid cow skull logo.

Cow skull = secondary logo plz

 

Who cares what they look like?

Their record should be above .500 before you worry about uniform colors.

 

I don't think anyone is "worrying" about uniform colors. It just a simple question to see what everyone else thought about the Battle Red uniforms.

I like the jerseys.Their primetime jerseys! I think they should be retired till our first playoff game! That way when we put them on we are ready to BATTLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I liked them. I think they should go with that as their permanent base color. In my opinion it gives them some originality.

 

I like the red jerseys, but not with red pants, with white pants would look better.

Also I like the all blue uniform.

 

im not a big fan of monochrome uniforms, but some teams/colors it works, and some don't.


I'd like to see a red pant, white shirt combo.

 

Again, University of Houston ring a bell?

 

The Texans will wear the red jerseys again when they face the Jags in two weeks, not sure about the red pants but I doubt it since this was a special occasion.

 

Too much red -- looks like a college team.
