    A broomstick !!! :D

What do you guys think? Would that be an effective means for training?

He doesnt need a broomstick. He needs touches close to the basket. :p

I guess the broomstick would make for a better teammate than most of the guys on the team. :D

a broom stick? we need to use that on all our players when they drive in, so they can finish strong and only have to worry about 1 free throw. just whack them on the head. yao and tracy are used to it, so i'm sure it won't make a big difference.

That is how Purvis Short learned to shoot as a kid. I believe his dad or someone used to hold a broom up and told him to shoot over it. That's also why Purvis' jumpshot was so high-arc'ing.... or so the legend goes... :)

I truly believe that if we go deep into the playoffs it will be because of Scola. I HATE how adelman has utilized him so far. THe guy has been more reliable then anybody on this team from 18 feet and in. On an offense starved squad we need Scola to be getting touches. he's playing "the right way" and nobody else is. The reason he's not getting enough shots is because he's making the right passes but never get's the ball back. Adelman needs to understand that if Scola became selfish he would look better but the team wouldn't( in the long run, but now we take what we can get). We have the MVP of argueably the most offensive league in the world. He's shown that he is a productive rebounder, charge drawer, and thief. I would like to see his role increased and I am not necessarily talking minutes, though i would like to see at least 30, i'm talking isolation plays or for peole to look for him.

I like Scola, why don't we give him more playing time so far. Every time he's on the court, he busts his butt to get things done.

Just like DoD said, part of it's so Luis can get a higher arc in his shot. Harder to block and leads to less bricks.

One of the reasons that Boozer is so effective against Yao is his high arcing shot.

I have the same thought. He has the potential to be a better player than T-Mac and Yao in this team.

We did that in high school. Of course there was a team in our district with two 7-footers, so we almost had to. It was pretty effective.

I hate how Scola is being used as well. It's as if Adlebrained has no idea how to play to his player's strengths sometimes. It's frustrating.

I don't know whether it'll work or not, but it reminds me of Dom Capers making David Carr practice with ladders as the pocket.

Well considering that Scola is our best penetrator with the ball it must be working for him.... :D

Scola need to get passes to do well. I hope TMac or our PGs will pass to him more when Yao is doubled or tripled. This training is good for Scola as he seems to miss the shots thay he gets (even though the number of shots/attempts are low). He should made those shots if they come cause he isn't getting many.

he is 27, dont expect him to learn new tricks. what you see in scoa is what you get. he is a solid role player in this league.

Just curious, did Hayes get to work against the offense against broomstick?
Hayes does need such practice and I hope he practise with ont one but two broomsticks on him.

    I'am agree.
Scola has the personality to be the leader of these team, if Adelman give him more than 15 minutes per game.

hes still adjusting to the game. we havent seen enough. and when he gets to the basket good things happen. he just doesnt get the ball enough. i like players that bust their a** off for their team no matter what. in the blowout against the sixers, he was relentless, he was the main reason why we didnt get embarrased by 30 points and made it look like a decent loss.
