Another problem with Win ME. Thankfully, it's only an annoyance, and not a complete lack of web page access.

If I have more than one window open (and they are not at full size) and I move my mouse accross them, it automatically selects the window my mouse is over, without clicking the mouse button.

I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to disable this setting. It is driving me up the wall.

    Thanks.

Tech support sure is the death of DREAMer. I already killed you for "compatability" and "accross" is wrong here, too.

btw: I'd guess your mouse-over effect is found in the control panel, mouse settings. Or right click on the desktop and look for it in the desktop properties. I'm kinda working blind here without ME, so don't look too hard for it.

It's not in the control panel mouse settings, nor in the desk top properties....

So far, I am not liking WIN ME very much.

Do you have Tweak UI or the Microsoft Power Toys (of those, specifically the X Windows mouse emulation tool) installed as a part of Windows ME? Come to think of it, the XWin mouse emulation tool may be a feature in Tweak UI.

Try going into the Control Panel and looking in there to see if there is anything to turn such an option off. Like crispee, I'm going blind from WinME, but that's how I seem to remember it.
