Yes, HERNIA injury. Francis missed the flight to Minneapolis tonight (Thursday) and will be examined by doctors Friday morning. The team is afraid it might be a HERNIA injury. If surgery is needed he could be out 3 to 4 weeks. Because of his young age he is expected to bounce back quicker than Hakeem IF it is indeed a hernia injury. When it rains... Old School

Not only is this the worst season for injuries the Rockets have ever had, if Francis does miss any extended time, this would be the worst injury season ever in the NBA. What other team lost approximately 60 games from one of their superstars, 22 games from another of their superstars, and possibly 3 to 5 weeks from a third superstar? Fingers are stil crossed that it is not a hernia that will need surgery. The team said if that's the case Francis would probably catch a flight to Minn and may or may not play Friday night.
