It's been obvious how good these guys are to Texans fans, and it's about time they got a chance to showcase their skills on a prime time game! Now everyone knows, and it's amazing hearing all the analysts and commentators saying Mario should be in the pro bowl. Demeco's in the top 5 in the NFL in tackles, and Mario is # freakin 2!!! I didn't realize how close he was to the lead, but damn that's great. Our 2006 draft was damn good, eat that VY and Reggie

Don't forget Dunta Robinson if he can come back strong. :) HUGE PLUS for the upcoming defense.

we need a S, and with a top 20 pick we will easily be able to land one. Not sure whert we'll be, but it's lookin like 16 or 17 right now based on the standings.Kenny Phillips outta the U(Miami) will be a good one, check out his scouting reports.

I wouldn't count out Amobi either. The guy actually has the 5th highest sack total among all the DT, and is actually #2 in the AFC behind Haynesworth. Scary part is that he is only 20 years old!

Unfortunately, you need more help on the offensive side of the ball this year than you do the defensive. I'm not saying the Texans won't draft another defensive player first this year because I didn't think they would last year... but there are just too many holes in the offensive line. Maybe they can do something in free agency though.

No 2nd round pick doesn't help much either.

nothing is more disappointing than Travis Johnson. I thought his 2nd year back in a 4-3 would get us something but he has been non-existent.

With a pick in the middle to late teens(depending on finish) its very likely to see the Texans take a OL or a franchise RB with the first pick.

    Exactly.

Amobi has hit the "rookie wall". He is battling through it and is continuing to play hard. One of Mario's sacks was due to Amobi penetrating the pocket and collapsing it right away for Mario to make the sack.

This is what I wanted from the Texans at the onset of the franchise, a dominating defense. The D-Line is doing a great job putting pressure on the QB and helping out the secondary and the linebackers.

Another solid draft and a couple of FA moves and hopefully we'll be in the driver's seat next season for the playoffs.

    My 0.02:

    RB - Jonathan Stewart, Oregon
    OL - Sam Baker, USC

I'd be happy with either one.

For RB, I'd like Ian Johnson. He's got that "eye of the tiger" and he's now been in a BIG GAME with the fiesta bowl last year (actually earlier this year vs the Sooners!). So he knows what it takes to be a winner!

Heard alot of good things about Sam Baker. Does he play tackle? Imagine if we could get him to tandem with a fully recovered, rejuvenated Spencer.

If Dunta can come back and resume his previous form (or close to it), then we are just about set at CB with Bennett's improvement. Then we can use one (or more) of our higher draft picks to get an impact safety. This defense could be spectacular if we continue to improve the secondary. Our D-line would rack up the sacks.
