I'm in Pittsburgh, so I knew it was a little cheaper than larger cities in the northeast. We looked at multiple places, and even the ones that looked kind of shady were $600-650. It was worth ponying up the extra $300 for a nice place. Both my mother and mother-in-law are alive, but still want to work. My mom will turn 62 soon. I'm trying to convince her to take social security, and cut back working to only 2 days per week. I even offered to pay her a little to offset her wages lost. She's thinking about it...

Wife with college degree at home and not working, at least $2500/month (30k/yr) we're not getting in income. The intangables are priceless, though.
169/week which comes to 676 a month for a daycare place near the galleria area...it might not be newest looking facility, but the teachers all seem nice and take good care of him...and it's clean. Growing up and paying bills sucks.
