I know people are from different parts of the country, but I was wondering what people pay for childcare. My son goes 5 days/week for 8 hours per day. I pay around $900/month. The things I could do with $900/month...

My son just goes 2 days a week (can go anytime between 7AM and 6PM) and we pay like $450 a month.

Consider yourself lucky -- I wish either set of parents lived near us!

I'm in same range as RIET -- East Coast cost of living blows sometimes...

I'm in Pittsburgh, so I knew it was a little cheaper than larger cities in the northeast.

We looked at multiple places, and even the ones that looked kind of shady were $600-650. It was worth ponying up the extra $300 for a nice place.

Both my mother and mother-in-law are alive, but still want to work. My mom will turn 62 soon. I'm trying to convince her to take social security, and cut back working to only 2 days per week. I even offered to pay her a little to offset her wages lost. She's thinking about it...

    Son 3 1/2
    School: Creative Minds
    Location: Sugarland

    $145 - Week
$125 - Month for meal ticket

We have known the owner for about 7 years and have brought our daughter there when she was younger.

Have really priced around the area and this this one of the lowest and clean.

$248/week, 8AM to 6PM. It hurts. I would have so much play money otherwise.

I travel to Pittsburgh quite a bit. Nice city but navigating it is a pain in the ass.

Wife with college degree at home and not working, at least $2500/month (30k/yr) we're not getting in income. The intangables are priceless, though.

169/week which comes to 676 a month for a daycare place near the galleria area...it might not be newest looking facility, but the teachers all seem nice and take good care of him...and it's clean.

Growing up and paying bills sucks.
