yeah i saw that...just another quote by the man that makes you scratch your head.

hey mcgrady, every substantial crowd of any size at any level of basketball will sigh when free throws are missed. amazingly, they do the same for 3-point shots as well.

man there was a play last night where he was wide open from 10 feet out....and he faded away and clanked it off the back iron....it's like what happened to going straight up and shooting the ball????....he fades on damn near all of his shots..................

    Man, you guys are unreal.

Go back and watch the play where the defender fell down. I DVR'd the game-and watched that play several times.

His man fell down...McGrady takes a couple steps in from the the 3 point line and not one, not two, but THREE defenders move into the paint. He has about 4 feet of space in front of him e.g. he is WIDE open. He should shoot that shot EVERY SINGLE TIME. Who the hell says passing up a wide open shot and drive into 3 defenders is good basketball???

    Ridiculous.

Yes, early jumpers with your man on you are not good. But wide open jumpers are bad? Give me a break.

Give your McGrady hate a rest for a game. The guy had a great all-around game save for the FTs. At least wait until he shoots 7-23 or something.

HE IS WHAT HE IS, A JUMP SHOOTER, LET IT ALONE.

If we want someone tough like Kobe than make a trade.

That would have been a jump shot by Kobe too.

Jordan was a jump shooter, Kobe is a jump shooter. I see nothing wrong with it. Tmac's elbow must still be bothering him. He usually makes these buckets.

Just wish he could make those 3 ptrs with the accuracy and frequency of a Jordan or Miller.

Tracy's shot is a line drive because it doesn't have a high arc. He has to be completely on to make that shot. If he doesn't it's going to clank.

Can't believe the hatred. The guy came out after being accused of "quitting" to score 29 pts on 50% shooting (not to mention dishing 6 dimes) and some people still want to trade him for Jason Cant-Shoot Kidd.

    Oh damn right it is.

I would love having Jason Kidd on this team to cover up T-Mac's missing points with his scoring prowess. And when Yao gets doubled, Jason Kidd will pick the defense apart? And Jason Kidd is going to lead the league in assists with the talent on this team and his passing ability. Not to mention his youth and athleticism are at their peak...

    Can't wait.

And I still don't get why everyone wants Kobe so bad. First of all Kobe does drive but he is also a jumpshooter primarily and KOBE HASN'T DONE ***** WITHOUT SHAQ. Yeah he seems like he cares more and all that but

When T-Mac (ORL) and Kobe (LAL) have to lead talentless squads:
-Both don't get out of the first round
-Both miss the playoffs once in 4 years
-Both let a 3-1 lead drop to a superior team

Where was Kobe's heart and mental toughness then? Oh I know his teammates failed him....bull***** you guys just won't admit Kobe couldn't get it done. What about when he quit on his team in the second half of that game 7? Only took 2 or 3 shots?

I completely admire this ability of tmac. but in order for the team to succeed, make it to the big dance, is not to completely rely on this. we got burnt many times. ANY TEAM, i mean, ANY TEAM, even sonics, put tmac there, it's easy to get .500 wins or even make it to the playoffs. But once there, if the oppsing team decides to double or triple team tmac defensively, or even deny tmac the ball, the offense will completely shut down. Thus, tmac has not won a playoff series.

Just a wish, I heard that Miller worked very hard for his 3 ptrs, Tmac is not a hard working person. As for Jordan, he did not use his 3 ptrs much unless someone let him do it.

You get a better accuracy if you don't force it. The thing about Tmac is he likes to fish for foul. When he doesn't get the call, he shoots it anyway, that's when people see as a bad shot. ( people like me, that is. :))

T-Mac scores 29pts shooting over 50% and people are still b****ing? Ridiculous. He even threw down a hard dunk and that is still not enough? Not to mention his triple double last week. I guess Tracy must have slipped his salami to a lot of the girlfriends of members on this board. I don't blame yall. I'd be mad too if T-Mac was laying the pipe down to my girl.

Kobe > Tmac....he drives more, shoots the jumper better, plays better d, and is more clutch......when Kobe had talent around him he could at least manage to get out the 1st round....what's tmac's excuse?????...and Kobe was just as important as Shaq in those Laker title runs....he was the ultimate closer when the lakers were afraid to feed shaq the ball, because of "hack a shaq"......Kobe > Tmac....

the reason why people aren't getting "thrilled" about this performance is

    a.) it's one game
b.) he still didn't take the ball to the basket enough down the stretch
c.) we all know he'll show his chokeish, softy, I give up nature again before the season is over with.
