Too bad Calvin Murphy doesn't want anything to do with the Rockets anymore. :(

OMG Yao Ming talks about mental toughness and he sets the precedant of missed free throws by missing the first 2 in a row~!

Coach can't make these guys make free throws.Soft, mental toughness,It's teh players responsibility as well. The players need to look themselves in the freakin mirror and take responsibility for their own freaking actions.

Yao ming miss free throws, missed layups.

yeh i feel lik we can't blame adelman so much. its more of the player's fault that we hav this mental collapse recently.

did adelman put us into this mental collapse in the first place? sure. but its the player's responsibility to get through it.

so apparently our 6-22 is the 4th worst ft% performance since '91-92. 6-23 is the worst so if yao had missed his last ft like we wanted him to (i guess) then we could've had the post '91-92 record. a proud achievement indeed.

Why didn't Yao intentionally miss his last free throw with 0.8 seconds left? --> game over.

When he should have missed, he hit one...go figure. Poor tactics.

    At least we won ;)

When it came to the end with a such a poor FTs, it was becoming kinda entertaining to watch. At least, we have cracked the NBA's worst FTs record. :D

Our free-throw shooting tonight was so ugly............
I could've murdered the next person to miss the next one......
I thought that it was actually Tmac's fg percentage on off nights....
I cringed, I cried, I got really annoyed, and I almost gave myself a heart attack from the stress, then I just looked away.....and that didn't help
My big screen tv was in danger of being replaced if we would've lost the game
I actually rather listen to Rosie O' Donnell making love to a spatula

    That was HORRIBLE.

On another note, what THE HELL HAPPENED TO TMAC'S FT SHOOTING?
It looked almost as if he changes his form everytime....no consistency at all

Free throws are a product of repetition. There is no reason an entire teams shoots as badly as the Rockets unless they have given up this aspect of their practices from last year. Ask any high school or college coach with a high free throw shooting percentage. They stay extra time to shoot free throws. Guess what else improves when you shoot a bunch of free throws? Your shooting percentage goes up!

Well the upside is that if we can beat the pistons with no FT ability, imagine when we start clicking on the charity line

i won't lie, that was painful to watch! That was the worst display of free throw shooting i have ever witnessed. the fact that we won means that detroit sucked ass, and we did not deserve that. i love how all the rockets were laughing, yet we just made sportscenter jokes for a week for that poor display of shooting....

If FT percentage reflects how much one has been practising, what does tonight's performance indicate?

A few years ago, we could at least blame it on the ugly uniform.
