I thought I had heard that he will be back for the Golden State game like Steve. I doubt he will lose his starting job because of injury. I do think EG will get more minutes now, but I think many of them will come at the expense of Cato as well as Kenny.

I agree with you on that, what I want to know is if he's in the long term backup plans, why didn't they go ahead and offer him some kind of extension? Just a thought. If they can decide whether or not he'll stay or not, what about a Walt Williams/Kenny Thomas for Othello Harrington? I think financially it would be pretty even and for New York they would have 2 players coming off the books. Othella would bring us a low post scorer/rebounder who's played under rudy before. Plus we'll be able to start Eddie and have a fall back for him. Othello also doesn't mind playing center either. what does anyone think about that.

Kenny shows a lot of aggressiveness in the court and has got even better ball handler, compare from his previous years with the Rockets. I think he deserve to be resign with the Rocks!!

Why is everyone always trying to dump Kenny Thomas? Here is a guy who was a surprise draft pick, has improved steadily each and every year, and who, this year, has been THE bright spot. Well, maybe #2 behind Oscar Torres.

Yet, he keeps getting moved through deals at Real GM.

Are you guys predicting that he will plateau or that he'll flame out?

I'd like to see a deal to bring Othella Harrington back and keep Kenny- they are both strong hard working small big men. Othella has a very good work ethic and is a consistent scorer. I remember him being a very strong - physical presence in the low post.

    3 reasons

    1. Good Player
    2. Good Contract
    3. Mo Taylor (He's much more difficult to trade due to his contract and recent injury and drug suspension)

Yeah, BGM, i agree with you on that. I also like to somehow bring Othella back. I know we had to trade him to get steve, but it seems like he was just coming into his own. He was schooled by Hakeem and Barkley for a couple of yrs and was really turning into a nice player. With his contract plus Thomas and williams contract, maybe NY would want to do a deal. It healps both teams and is not one sided like some of the proposed trades by Rockets fans.

I just heard that KT is due back tonight against the Suns. That's good news, but he should be backing up Eddie. I'm positive Rudy will be starting KT, but that would be a mistake. Eddie Griffin now at 19 is better than Thomas. Eddie showed what he can do as the starter, he should be starting with Kenny as his backup. We'll see what happens.

KT's definitely earned the starting PF spot this year in the absence of the injured MoT. Just because the rookie's had 2 consecutive good games (albiet they were REALLY IMPRESSIVE) doesn't mean he's taken KT's starting spot this year.

I agree with BGM, KT really does make good trade bait when you look at his skills and his contract. However, he's relatively used to a role off the bench, whereas I don't think MoT would take kindly to playing 2nd fiddle. Mo's a starter, and EG's a future starter. If we're looking to trade someone, I think we'd be better served (and I HATE to even suggest this ... BUT) if we offered up MoT and someone else to try to land a LEGIT SF. Someone like Glen Rice about 4 or 5 years ago ;)

Kenny will start over Eddie but dont be surprised if you see some new different lineups thrown in. With the play of Eddie, hes going to get respect to play.

I want to see this tested out

    CATO or Willis
    GRIFFIN
    THOMAS
    Mobley
    Moochie

I believe KT can become a 3. He's lost enough weight and now has the speed to become one. With a little more conditioning, I would start him at the 3 next year.

Although everyone wants to see Kenny at the three, we won't because for some reason Rudy T doesn't like going big....

I would rather have EG at the three. Kenny is in great shape but he's got a better inside game than EG and has a worse outside shot.

I'd trade Kenny for the right deal, and I liked Othella when he was here and was sorry we had to send him to Vancouver. However, at this point, I think Kenny is a better, or at least more talented player than Othella. I'd do a Kenny and Walt package for someone, but not Othella.

But if someone wants to do a Cato for Othella trade, my ears are open.
