This is a typical thread of "The other side's grass is always greener" or "other people's wife is always more attractive"..

touche. Whenever he is taken out of his offense, Yao never plays good defense?! Especially rebounds, thats what killed us in game 7 against Jazz and thats what is killing us right now. Shooting touch comes and goes, but dude, REBOUND THE BALL

UnfrigginBelievable. Stop making so many excuses for Yao. I have said it many times, if only you YOFs would make half as many for TMac, we would all live peacefully. Everything is god given talent in the NBA. I don't see people making this case when TMac is compared to Kobe all the time. When he is asked to do everything under the sun and still get blamed. After he had triple double, all YOFs hated on him for his FG%. This is a joke

The main advantage for Howard is his mobility. It's alot harder to front him because he can jump and grab the lob pass, while Yao has to have the lob hit him in the hands, and even then he often turns it over after the catch when he has a defender in front and back. Either way being the most dominant center isn't nearly as impressive when most of the centers are average players.

Howard is more athletically gift than Yao but he's far from dominant. Yao and Howard possess different skills and play 2 different style of basketball so any comparison straight up is not really valid. Best way is see how they play each other straight in a game. But I get the feeling Yao is the one who will shy from any competition. Yao schooled Yi but other that he doesn't have the mentality to challenge anyone.

Only if your team outrebound the opsition.

    Orlando 44.3 - Opp 44.8 (-0.5)
    Houston 44.1 - Opp 41.0 (+3.1)

One thing is get extra rebounds the other is get robound from other teammates

Yao off. Board 3.0 in less minutes than DH 3.4 in more minutes and an incredible athletic body.

Remember a guy name Camby incredible rebounder and shot blocker but his team is one of the worst in defense, and his one of one defense he is average.

Just look Duncan stats only one time he ave. 25+ pts and never have put DH rebounder number, but he is always all defensive team and all 1st team. Why Numbers is not everything, is how you influence the game, change shots, fear to go inside, etc.

    -----------------------------------------------

    Opponent Counterpart per 48
    DH - 18.2 PPG - 13.7 RPG - 51FG% - (49FG% inside) 15.8PER

    Opponent Counterpart per 48
    Yao - 16.6 PPG - 13.1 RPG - 45FG% - (44FG% inside) 13.3PER

What opponent had the hardest time scoring?

How does any part of my statement make me a YOF? Can you please explain that to me? I just simply pointed out that Yao is limited when it comes to athletic skills. So before you start calling people names, you should seriously get a better sense of their overall ideology. Anyone here can tell you I am far from bringing a YOF. So please don’t lump me in their with these simple-minded YOF and TOF who only care for the individual player.
