For the past few years I've looked forward to that first day that I see Saint Arnold's Christmas Ale available at Specs. It's got quite a bit of kick to it and is perfect for those chilly winter evenings. Pretty much all of my favorite seasonal beers are released in the winter. So what are your favorites? I'm always open to trying something new when it comes to beer. Here are mine:
WAY too many to list. But this is a winter brew that i recently tried that is VERY good I love all oktoberfest/marzens but this is my particular favorite
Not seasonal. But I've found a beer I really like, Michelob Ultra Amber. Having one right now actually.
^ Bringing Anheuser-Busch, Miller, Coors, etc to a real beer thread is like bringing New Kids on the Block to a Manny Ramirez serious music thread. It should be avoided for the sake of of decorum.
The thread title reads "Favorite", not best. For the record, I think beer tastes like piss, and am dumbfounded as to how people can convince themselves beer tastes good.
Another vote for Sam Adams Winter Lager. I'm not much on their other 3 seasonal beers, but I love that one. [Bringing Coors to the conversation. Look away SamFisher.] I have some Full Moon (Blue Moon's Winter Ale) in the fridge right now. It's okay, but not spectacular.
I haven't been but I imagine you should find a pretty good selection there including many beers listed above - there should be a fair amount of specialty christmas brews from both American and foreign craft brewers (particularly german and belgian, and probably a few french)
everyone's in love with their winter brews at this time of year. I'll put in a vote for Sam Summer Ale being my favorite seasonal..
Real Ale's Sisyphus barleywine. Avaiable on tap right now at my favorite bar. 11%+ APV. 3 of them will turn you into an idiot.
Samuel Smith's Winter Welcome Ale http://www.merchantduvin.com/pages/5_breweries/samsmith_winter_welcome.html I love all of this brewery's offerings.
