Easy, consider that we have in the area of 20,000 more members than we had before Yao was drafted and then try to wrap that around your noggin. It's no surprise that the reaction, jerking knees and all, should be like this. The sheer quantity of posters almost assures it. The current play of the Rockets doesn't help.
i rather sit and moped with t-mac and then try to nap lebron or wade when t-mac's contract is up. we could even sign and trade the other player with yao as trade bait to get both lebron and wade. We have a AB, wade and lebron tri-factor then. While still playing 2 superstar mould for the time being. Bosh, hosh howard and anthony will all have their contract up that year.
Panic posters are so absurd. The reason so few people counteract them, is that anyone of intelligence hopes that if they are ignored, they'll go away. The problem with that, is that readers start to believe this is what everyone thinks, because it's all that's written. The Rockets have problems. It was to be expected. We've changed the coaches, playbook, players, countries ... geez. The 6-1 start faked us all out. THAT was the fluke, not this. ... unfortunately, whatever worst fears I had of James, Francis, Wells, Head and Alston have come true. I didn't expect all of them to suck. But, we are also experiencing going from an authoritarian coach to an empowering coach, and it takes a little bit before people step up to lead in that freedom, confidently operating from understanding. I'm sure that Adelman is hoping and expecting someone to step up, and letting the survival of the fittest principle do it's thing. But, hey, it is what it is, and the last player we need to trade right now is TMac. And, if Morey DID decide to do so, people wouldn't blame our situation on him, but on Adelman, and assume that they'd see him function on their team the way he started off the season, one of the top 10 players in the NBA It's only been a few weeks since he was leading the whole NBA in scoring! We are out of synch. Even the highest revving engine looks sucky, when its out of synch ... and it's Adelman's job to get it back on track. We'll all get to see what he's really got.
Tmac and Yao are like wives who have borne your children but also cheat on you. You can't get rid of them (trades) but you aren't entirely happy staying married to them either.
would you rather have : 1.kobe and tmac 2.yao and maggette I think kobe + tmac is better than yao+maggette. I want tmac traded as much as the next guy, but tmacs value is LOW,and yaos perceived value is HIGH...you can still win a championship with kobe/tmac...not with yao and maggette.I know the yof dont want to hear that but its true and you know it. What I dont understand from you guys, is that a player like shaq comes around once every 20 years,now hes back in dwight howard. I think whenever you have a chance to get a "once in a lifetime" type center you go for it. I know dh is not on the block, but van gundy might convince the other van gundy, that yao and tmac is better than dh, so the magic might actually give us dh. Do you want yao for another good 2-4 years, or do you want an even BETTER center for another 13-15 years in dwight? I say the 13-15 years with dwight gives you a better chance of a dynasty. Surround him with young players his age plus scola, you have dwight,scola,landry,brooks,battier,wells,snyder,bring back Harris,I like it.
i really hope you are not in the rockets org. if so, then this team is in trouble. its your "conservative" non bold ,laid back attitude liek morey, that has this team sucking. you snooze you lose. pretty soon, after even more losing, and another playoff bounce(if they even make the playoffs) you wont be able to get **** for tmac or yao since their values will plummet after more and more losing...its people like you that dont trade for kobe when you had the chance...its people like you that wait till tmac has a career threatening back injury before thinking about trading him, but by then, its to late , no team will want him

ive been in that situation (having a kid with someone that cheated on me) the solution IS TO GET RID OF them, ie: trades,and you will find a better wife better,...let the other crazy woman have the kid,and eventually she will not be able to handle it and will give you the kid back..so in the end you have a better woman and the kid its people like you that are ****** whipped...you let your girl walk all over you and she knows she can get away with it because of the kid..you live a sad life...only a loser would put themselves through it...stand up for yourself and find someone better.....

I agree with everything your saying, I also expected us to lose games in the early going. The manner in which we are losing is the part that is troubling. It is not just a question of being out of sync. We are completely not ready to play, yao is not being given the ball in positions to score like he should be, tmac is being forced to create far more than he should need to, we have no semblance of an offensive identity, and we have completely lost our defensive identity, we have forgotten how to rebound altogether, a major strength under jvg, and we most troubling of all, we are playing with absolutely zero passion. Again, growing pains, are one thing, but all of the things that i listed are not characteristics of growing pains, they are symbolic of far larger problems. Not to mention, this many games into the season, the growing pains should be starting to resolve themselves, instead we are getting progressively worse, game by game.
Actually, I don't think it's as much about the Rocket's record as it is about the performance of some players in the rotation. For me, I just can't believe in my guts that T-Ming can get us to the promised land. Both are talented but lack the killer instinct that we'll need to get past the elites. And there's something else. Just a few weeks ago, Tracy was praising the Rockets for publicly removing his name from the Kobe trade rumors. And this is how he rewards the organization? It's a pity that we can't pry AI away from Denver. We haven't had a player with his toughness since Dream was in his prime, and that's why this current roster doesn't intimidate opposing teams. No toughness.
