Those are his players still and I guarantee you he still lives and dies with their success or in this case their unsuccess. If Jeff and Clutch could Save Our Rockets, you can get JVG back. He created the Rowdies, your his children for godsakes. he will listen to yall. JVG comes back, we beat Utah in the first round, make it to the WCF against the Spurs. What a story that would be. i agree...chanting this gives zero chance for JVG to be back. But as fans, this is a very good way to express our anger without seriously disrupting our player's moral. It's not like we're yelling trade YAO or TMAC. If anything, Yelling trade the coach may even motivate those players such as shane yao tmac to play better. I mean we all know that it is BLATANTLY clear that YAO is implying JVG>RA. Besides you gotta give it up to the irony that we are chanting for JVG, right in Adelman's face style!!!!! Priceless!
Fans have the right to freedom of speech, especially when they pay $$ to attend a game. However, it seems unfair to crush Adelman so early into his 1st season. I would wait to see how the team is playing in the 2nd half of the season before humiliating Adelman publicly. If things are not considerably better after 40-50 games, I would be less against this idea. 11-11 is not what we expected, but it is not too bad considering the Rockets had to start the season with one of the toughest schedules in the league on top of adjusting to a new coach and several new players. My opinion: More patience, too early to bail out on Adelman.
your first 6 words have to be the STUPIDEST thing i think anybody could ever say. JVG was a great coach, he did soooo much for this team. It's a shame though that we have nothing to prove from it this year. Like many have said, this year's team with JVG would be absolutely AMAZING!!!
You should wear your JVG bald hat tonight. I will be watching this game closely. I'd say it's the most important game thus far.
I'll join in if someone wants to start "trade mcgrady"....the game will be on national t.v. and it might get a story started which might force the rockets management to think about trading him................
If TMac read this board, he probably wouldn't even come out and dress for tonight. He'd blame his "sprained" ankle from not letting him play.
how about we at least wait to see how they do tonight? just a thought. Chanting trade mcgrady or bring back JVG might not be great chants if the Rockets are actually playing well... not that I think it's ever a good idea to "chant" against your own team anyway. You think Adelman will say, "Hey, those fans are wanting the old coach back, maybe I'll actually start trying to win games from now on..."

No one's denying the great freedom of speech. It's just that toyota center is supposed to be an arena of fans of the Houston Rockets. The Houston Rockets play at the Toyota Center. Why not show support for the team and staff on the floor? Fans should help support the team rather than call for its decimation. especially if it's this early in the season.
