Can anyone tell me about this place? It's located on Airline before 610 North.

I want to try and make something for a holiday party at work that involves fruits, and I am not talking about the Zac Efron kind.
Are the prices fairly cheap, or is it relatively the same as what I can find at a grocery store?

I need strawberries. Good ones. Well, it's for my coworkers, and I don't like them, but I just want to trump their sorry ass crap food they are going to bring. I gotta make them feel like dumbasses for bringing packaged rolls, and boxed mash potatos. I might buy other fruits just to decorate and garnish or whatever. I need a serving plate.

How long do they stay open because I gotta work, but I also have Jury Duty. I get off at 6PM.

Just an aside. I have an enemy that lives there, and I've been thinking of doing some dirty work. Would the farmers market be a good place to hide?

You can only buy in huge bulk there.

When you say Bulk, are you talking a crate?

Go to Canino's (it is the market located closest to the street). They have a great selection of fruits and vegetables and you do not have to buy in bulk. Everything is laid out like a grocery store's vegetable section, only twice as big and without those automatic sprinkler things that make thunder noises.

I guess it's changed. Granted...I haven't been there in years. Might be time to go check it out again. Thanks.

You don't have to buy in bulk. Its laid out pretty much like the grocery store, and yeah you will have a better selection and save some money.

I go every once in awhile too since I live in the Heights and I don't remember the hours, but I think they are opened til 6 or 7 PM and they are open 7 days a week. They always have fresh strawberries there so that's a great place to get them. The place is huge so keep walking around until you see it all.

For Thanksgiving, I baked a pecan pie and I was at HEB and saw a bag of pecans for $8 or $9 and then at the Farmer's Market, they were $5.99 so that was a good deal!

Canino's like someone else said is great and there is no bulk buying like someone said. Have fun!

Anyone ever ate at the restaurant Triple A's in front in the parking lot. That's some good eating.
