Im posting this because i am still with the rox. i mean real fans stick with there team when they are down, not kick them. i know that everyone wants to point out the bad things about their play, but getting down on them isnt going to do anything good. i mean when someone has cancer or some other bad disease and its tough for them does anyone give up on them and say...oh well better luck next life...not probable. People come together and raise money to help fix the issue. So lets all stay on the bandwagon and not try to throw rafer, tmac, adleman etc off of it. Last time i checked basketball was a team sport. And unless your favorite team buys themselves a championship, most have to earn it. With that being said, i say we start talking about good times and hopefully we can get a good feeling in the air and maybe we start to get some luck and they start winning.Anyone else with me?
I am down. But I didn't watch how poorly they played today, though I did see the Toronto game. I agree that it doesn't look like basketball at the moment and the team needs a lot of work. They have the talent to get it done at times, so I'm going to stay optimistic. We're a quarter of the way through the season and I expected more, but we all remember Dec. 04 when the team went ballistic in Mid december. cheers to it.
nobody is kicking them while they're down. we're being realistic while they're down. changes have to be made. whether they're roster changes or coaching style changes, etc.... things need to be worked on. REAL FANS are critical of their teams play especially when their team is underachieving and not giving 100%. There are a lot of people critical about the Rockets play right now and rightfully so.
Exactly. When we were 6-1, that was the WRONG time to b**** and moan. After losing to also-rans from the East, this is the RIGHT time to b**** and moan. If the Rockets can't even take care of the East, what makes anyone think that they can get past the 1st round?
I think we have every right to be critical after such a painful loss like tonight. Actually make that 2 painful losses in a row. I don't even think it's a case of Toronto and Philly beating us, rather we beat ourselves by our lack of chemistry and passion.
Especially the season ticket holders. If i wasnt payin student loans, i'd probably have season tix, and i'd probably be even more pissed off. Im sure a lot of people arent happy about paying their hard earned money for that brand basketball. I'd like to think that most season ticket holders are REAL FANS....I can imagine some of them being upset to cuz right now it seems as if though the fans have more passion than the coach and the team (minus scola. u can see the guy plays hard every night) I dont think being critical about this team right now says anything about your fanhood or love for the rockets.
If our situation is toying with a 500 win %tage in early December, I'll take it(for now). I have to say that is much better than toying with the following in late December: suffered small fracture on his right anterior medial tibial plateau (right leg) in the first quarter vs. the Clippers (12/23/06) … on the inactive list for 32 games (12/26/06-3/3/07) with the fracture …
that ruined my vacation. it was 4 am in barcelona. i got to a computer and yao only played like six minutes, with the game in the 4th quarter......
Coach 'A' doesn't seem like the sort of guy to bring out passion or chemistry in any one of our players. He looks and acts like a yesteryear coach! His non game plan fails to bring the best out of anyone
i've only seen a couple people say the season's over so i don't think there's very many jumping off the bandwagon. what you see right now is a whole bunch of fans pretty unhappy with what this team looks like. after you basically get destroyed in back to back games against bad teams, you deserve to get chewed out.
I've never had a problem standing squad, even in their darkest years because we've always (seemed) to have passionate, likeable personalities on our squad but this season...I don't know. We seemed disinterested and unmotivated which is making the losses all the more tougher to stomach. We really seem to be missing Jeff right now. I will say I do like the fact Yao's whining. He cares and he's being vocal, even if he isn't playing particularly well. More than we can say for T-Slack.
I'm with you. Fans really need a breath of fresh air.. Hope everything starts clicking soon no matter how horrible the rockets looked lately.
I'm a Rockets fan for life, thick and thin, through the ups and downs. I just don't like the vast differences between Adelman and JVG. I liked JVG and he deserved another year.
All of the people here love the Rockets..They just keep on posting ideas how they can improve the team..they give further analysis on what's wrong and give suggestions on things needed to be done..isn't that being a Rox by heart?
I'll still watch every game, but bandwagon suggests success, which the rockets don't have. I love my rockets. I'll never not be a fan. But it's easier to get excited about it when they are doing well.
