I know he left the game to go to the lockerroom in the last minute with a groin injury. Has anyone heard anything as to its extent? Does it look like he'll miss any games?
I'm wondering if he got injured earlier in the game, and just continued to play it out. I wish and Bill and Mike (who has nothing on Calvin, by the way) had given more info. And hopefully it isn't so serious that he will have to sit out for the all-star game. Geeze, what a dissapointment that would be. If it did happen earlier in the game, no big deal. But I don't know how well I'm going to sleep tonight if I don't know how serious it really is. ------------------ "You know, it's interesting..." --Calvin Murphy [This message has been edited by Calvin23 (edited February 03, 2000).]
Maybe we're talking about a different injury. I'm talking about the one in the last minute of the 4th quarter that he didn't come back from. It didn't look very serious, but if it was enough to take him out in a close game, it makes me nervous. Especially since we have a big game tomorrow night at Minnesota.
The injury happened when Snow (I think) was out of control and ran into Francis. Snow was called for travelling and bowled over Stevie. When Steve went down he grabbed his right knee. In the replay it showed the 76er player's knee hit the inside of Francis' knee, and Francis' knee buckle outward very slightly. I don't think he tore anything, but there is a possibility that he strained, stretched, or pulled the ligament on the outside of his knee. He was able to walk off the court, but I hope we hear something definitive tomorrow. ------------------ I have a dream.........his name's Hakeem.
