There are families, like friends or distant relatives out of town, where you want to send them something nice, but universal (like the now overused popcorn tins). Something you can just order online and have sent. My wife usually orders something from Harry & David pears or Cherry Moon Farms, but I thought there were some better ideas out there. Something unique to Texas would be even better. Any unique or cool ideas you guys are willing to share?
My mom lives out of state and she really enjoys Brianna's salad dressings when she visits. We send her favorites to her around Thanksgiving every year.
The discovery channel online store has some cool stuff and they do a sale each day leading up to christmas.

Thirty years ago, Thurman Roberts, Sr. and his wife Hisako T. Roberts started the Salt Lick Restaurant on the ranch where he was born. The stones of the building were quarried from that same ranch. Everything was done by them with their own hands; building and cooking with care and love, a pride in quality, and a job done right. With all the love and care for quality that they had, we bring you this offering. Please enjoy! It would make them very proud! http://www.saltlickbbq.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PLST Yummy!! Not cheap, but unique.
TexJoy Seasonings and Seaport Coffee. The defining tastes of Texas' Cajun Country, in a Texas-shaped gift box. My Grandmother looks forward to it every year. (I lack originality.) http://www.texjoy.com/store/p/196-Texas-Gift-Box-Small.aspx http://www.texjoy.com/store/p/195-Texas-Gift-Box-Large.aspx
Clutch should be demoted to rookie status for insulting the big tin of popcorn. Caramel + Powdered pseudo cheese like substance = supreme awesomeness
