Yea, I used to think Jack in the Box fries were the best until they changed them to the new ones. Those suck now. It feels like I am eating soggy potato skins.
If I ordered something and they gave me something else... I would be pretty pissed. And it would have nothing to do with the "quality" of what they gave me. I would just be angry about their complete incompetence. That was kind of a weird way to prove a point.
Wendy's new fries aren't that great IMO. I noticed they don't hold up as well without the trans fat. It's just a different texture. The fat is still there but its saturated instead of trans fat. But, at least their no longer killing the masses with the trans fat. I know Whataburger and Sonic luv to kill their customers. I think McDonalds is getting away from trans fat but there's so many other chemicals in their food that...blah. BK was supposed to go away from trans fat but I think their not there yet. IMO, Whataburger has the best fries but each one takes an hour off your life so...you can't win. Chik-Fil-A comes in second place with their peanut oil waffle fries. I go to Chik-Fil-A and Wendy's almost exclusively nowadays to avoid the trans fat and usually come away with a chicken sandwich combo. I try to avoid fast food burgers...because I don't know how many cows the meat came from (it's a blend before the patty is shaped) and where that meat has been. I would rather make my own burger.
That video is funny. I like how people shift into mourning mode like they are at a Wake, telling the employees how they used to drive hundreds of miles when they were kids for a Whopper.

I love that guy towards the end... "I hate Wendy's!!" Of the major "signature sandwiches", I'd rate The Whopper second, just below The Whataburger. The Jumbo Jack is third, followed by the Big Mac, WAAAAAAY down in fourth. In fact, the Big Mac would be the 2007 Miami Dolphins of fast food signature burgers.
If you live in Austin, go to Dan's at Manchaca and Ben White. It is cheap, uses Angus beef, real spuds for the fries, made fresh, and real onion rings made there, not out of a box, and the malts are excellent for the price. Everything there is excellent for the price and far better than the cheap chain burger places, including Whataburger. Just an FYI.
I agree...MCD fries rule. I always get the baked potato instead of the fries when I'm at Wendy's. BK fries I could do without.
Whataburgers are the greatest, but in Ohio Wendy's reigns supreme! I tried their version of the 99ยข double cheeseburger and it made the McDonald's one taste like a syrup fest. The meat actually tasted like hamburger, and the fries from Wendy's tasted like fried potatoes which was amazing.
OK I must've angered the BK gods, because I got my Whopper meal just now, hit the brakes on the stop sign, and the fries spilled onto my car floor. Sorry!
cracks me up how some of the people in the video take it so seriously. I've never been a big fast food eater so I guess I just don't understand
Anybody remember DQ fries from back in the day? They had like chives or some other green particle sprinkled on it with a nice oniony type flavor. It was the shiznit.
