    Minnesota 24-17
    Phoenix 24-18
    Dallas 19-22
    Denver 17-26
    Houston 17-27

of these numbers i only can say this:

    Minnesota will stay in 7th

Phoenix will loose out and fall from 8th
    you would think

Denver would take it but they lost MERCER and gained not much so thell fall

Now houston if they can win a couple of games will be in 8th in no time

Alright.. Cross denver and dallas out of that picture, THEY BOTH HAVE NO CHANCE.

The suns will make the playoffs. They have penny back and soon they will get back shawn "The wrong way" Marion. This team has alot of depth and I think they will make the playoffs.

Timberwolves, they are playing well right now but this is the timberwolves and anything can happen.

    No ****ty Expectation!!
Rockets are to expect good pick-ups
and bargains to make our next season roster like this:

    1. PG: Francis/ Drew
    2. SG: Mobley/ Williams
    3. SF: Rogers/ 1st Round Pick
    4. PF: Thomas/ Chuckster
    5. C: Kato/ Dream

    - Definite Must-to-Sells

Shandon Anderson, Matt Bullard, Tony Massenberg, Anthony Miller

    - Possible Get-in

    Michael Olowakandi= Shandon+ Pig
    Tracy McGrady= Matt+ T-Mass

    - Odd

Chuckster will stay one more season at all costs. It depends on how the rest of this season goes!!

Believe or not.. But this is already under progress in GM's brain......

    1. Barkley has retired.
    2. Williams is *not* a SG... he would be far too slow
    3. Carlos Rogers will nearly certainly not start ahead of a lotter pick SF. He's really a tweener, and while he's played with alot of heart, if we managed to land someone like Kenyan Martin, or even Etan Thomas, 'Los would be relegated to the pine.
    4. Dream might retire... he clearly should. Even if his body is willing, his mind and heart are not.
    5. Why is Anderson a must sell? His defense has been spectacular, and he comes up with huge nights occasionally. Moreover, he has self-discipline... something Mobley clearly does not possess.

I agree with you about Cato and Francis... and maybe Thomas, if we don't pick up another PF in the draft.

    My starting lineup:

    1. Francis/Drew
    2. Anderson/Mobley (if he's still here)
    3. Williams/Rogers
    4. Lotto pick/Thomas
    5. Cato/Miller (or another backup).

That lineup could vary depending on our draft pick... if we draft a 3, Williams gets traded, and Thomas starts.

    2-Utah (win the Midwest)
    3-Portland
    4-SA
    5-Sacramento
    6-Seattle
    7-Phoenix
    8-Minnesota

To all those dreaming we will catch the Twolves or the Suns for the 8th spo, here is the maths

If we assume worst case scenario and the Suns and Twolves go .500 for their remaining games they will finish
    Twolves 45-37
    Suns 44-38

and the so the rockets are now 18-26 and for the remaining 38 games we need to go at least 26 and 12. It would appear a tad unrealistic to finish .680 in our remaining games when so far we are .400, and this is with both the suns and Twolves wining only half their games from here on out.
    Sorry to burst your bubble

Whats unrealistic about that? i could see these guys loose half there games...and the way houston has been playing you never know...as long as there is a mathamatical chance I am for the rockets to pull it out....I need to see how the rockets play aginst there next GS/like game, if they have learned anything from those looses they have a chance, if they start taking games for granted they will not.

Malone the Moses, I don't know who you are, but I already don;t like you [IMG]

No way you trade Shandon, let alone Shandon AND Pig for Candiman. He's talented, but nowhere what we need to put us over the top. Candi is a lankier version of Cato in my mind and I'd rather have Cato.

Look guys, if the Rockets can continue playing winning basket ball(8 or 7 out of 10 games) and the premier teams like LA, Utah, Phoenix and Seattle keep losing(like I said they would [IMG] ) we WILL have a chance because this race will be alot tighter.

Minnesota will make it in. Its going to be between Seattle and Phoenix to give us the opening to slide in and take control. I have faith that it can happen!

    ------------------
The key for the Rockets is a winning attitude and mentality which can only be had by winning basketball games.

RocketsPimp, I don't know who you are, but I definitely don't like you either!!

Maybe u know something about basketball, but u know NOTHING about NBA business. The business is full of future plan what is refered to strategy. As Dream are upto his retirement, he is decently seeking for his successor. Look around! Who you bet? Candiman, while still yet to progress, is a exact mirror-double of Dream just in terms of his character. He is a born-african(above all, an Ethiopian), also is young and agile, which tickle the old fan's taste for Dream's younger version. If you do not agree, post your opinion just in terms of NBA business not your absurd bastketball monkey-business.

Candiman has much more to accomplish than he accomplished. GM does understand what it is like in NBA BUSINESS!! You know? Pimp! Huh?

I agree with you RocketPimp....and as far as Olowokandi goes...the Clippers can keep him, if we really want him Free agency will be just around the corner, no need in giving up or best deffender n Shandon, for a un proven bust like Kandi man.

Thanks guys! I sucked it up with smile.
I will suggest next years roster that deserves attention. This is based on fact and
availability. If we are the Rockets fans, we should be aware of what we all care about - The Rockets' future, not our pleasure!!

    PG: Francis/Drew
    SG: Mobley/Williams
SF: Rookie 1/Rogers /Niq'(Remember this guy?)
    PF: Thomas/Rookie 2/Chuck
    C: Candi/Dream

    Pack-ups: Matt, T-Mass, SHANDON, Pig

    My Analysis

    (1) Shandon's Deal
I do not dislike Shandon but the point is that he is the very man to be exchanged for good insider for Rockets.
Take a look at other 3 alternative deals of backcourt than Shandon's

-Drew out: Who can you get in as a reward? Harold Miner or Richard Dumas?
-Mobley out: Can Shandon make real starting SG? Forget his role in Utah! They have Stockton and Malone who can give Shandon the ball and screen for his penetration.
-Francis out: Yes, only if Marbury or Iverson comes in!!

Shandon is the least keepable player rather most neglectable player out of 4 backcourts. That is wahy we should ship him out.

    (2) Old Men and the Rockets
Hakeem, Chuck and Niq'(for convinience, I will name him WIlkins hereafter) these guys are all Hall-of-Famers but Old-er Shamers since all three suffered from endemic disease and accident at their pivotal moment of career. They are very much repentant for their ringless career except for Hakeem. This kind of old-but-rough mentalty (especially of Wilkins who is still a decent offensive player) is what our youngsters currently lack in this franchise. Besides, relatively cheap price for these old players can make enough salary cap room for good caliber youngsters. Remember this! Rockets are now in transitional status, it gonna take no less than two years. REMAIN HUMBLE AND FORGET THIS NEXT SEASON- Always used-to-be Contender!!

    (3) Rookie Pick-up
Currently, take a silly team who is fll of talented players but lack of intensity. Furnish them our good reseource for their backup members. Matt and Pig are right stuff for Vancouver that does not have reboynd-minded forward and skilled long-ranger. Its rookie is ours!! Clippers who is not intersted in winning, but in how they can break through this impasse, possibly take a chance of this mediocre back members. Other thant htese two candidates, Dallas and Phoenix also require good depth of reserves. Take advantage of their ramking and pick-ups!! That will elad Rockets to new generation and dimension.

i don't want to postulate about the rockets' chances, but here's my take on the rest,

Minnesota is in another gear right now...hottest team since their 7 game losing streak, 18-4 since. They could EASILY win our division. Malone is having serious trouble with Garnett, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Minn go 5-1 against them.

Phoenix has a terrible road record. The worst of the top 8. That is not a good sign for advancing very high. They will tread water until they learn to win more on the road...which is mainly what seedings boil down to, IMO.

    MO,

What's your fixation with getting rid of Shandon? The Rockets busted their buns to get this guy in a uni.

I just think he brings so much to the Rockets. It would be a shame if he is traded. Also, I think the Rocks and Shandon have one of those wink wink deals about money and playing time. So I wouldn't be suprised if he stays for quite a few years.

    Moses:

What's your obsession w/Kandi? As far as I can see, Cato seems to be playing better.

Barkley will retire, and Wilkins retired a couple of years ago. Hakeem might as well be retired... he likely won't play next year.

I agree that we need a dominant force on the inside. Problem is... Kandi isn't a dominant force. He's barely adequate, and I see no reason that he'll improve. Hakeem was more raw than Kandi, and played significantly better his rookie year.

Let's trade Pig Miller for the #1 draft pick and pick up Kenyon Martin [IMG]

    MO,
    - Yepp, Man!!

What's your fixation with getting rid of Shandon?
    - Getting good insider with pain of losing Shandon.

The Rockets busted their buns to get this guy in a uni.
    - I also remember that. However, at that time not we had Steve but Quitten. Now we have 2000's version of Isiah Thomas and Joe Dumars. Since we have Steve and Cat, Shandon is less valued than before.

I just think he brings so much to the Rockets.
    - What did he bring in? More than 15 pts per game? He is just reducing other players' playing times.

It would be a shame if he is traded.
    - That is your shame but that might be good choice for next generation of Rockets.

Also, I think the Rocks and Shandon have one of those wink wink deals about money and playing time.
-Deal is deal. We can still make much beter deals with better players!!!

So I wouldn't be suprised if he stays for quite a few years.
-His trade is not for supring you in this website, but for surpring other opponents in the courts!!!
