This is not bashing Yao or Tmac thread. I've watch them for years now(love them both) and have come to this conclusion. I hope this is just my belief. Please chime in & tell me why I am not right. I don't have a preference but in my heart they need to be split up. naismith
if it's because of today's bad game you post this...i will say it's unnecessary. rockets don't look focused and energetic today mainly because this is like the first afternoon game they played this season so far (i think). their body isn't used to this kind of usage at this hour... don't worry man, just one single game, Rockets will bounce back, tomo for sure.
I would swear that the Rockets were trying to get the ball away from Yao, but of course the raptors made it incredibly hard for Yao to post up in the first place. T-Mac didn't seem to be too itnerested in driving to the basket either, and got rejected by Bosh on a semi fast break. This game was not a good way for me to start my Christmas holiday.
I say 'soft' is over-genalization. Yao and Tmac have shown they want to be agressive and want to be the man in the end, but they have limitations when the offense focus on either of which too much. So it's not the softness, it's just that they are not dominant enough(Tmac is more dominant than Yao). So we really have to play TEAM ball. Until then, we are who our superstars are, very very good and yet not great.
Not only today's game, but more importantly in playoffs. T-Mac and Yao will never get out of first round. That's the nature of T_mac. He is a superstar with no heart.
neither of them is good enough to be a true superstar. they will never be at the level of shaq/kobe. but that's not news. we need a third all-star caliber player.
I didn't see two todady, I saw one. The one that kept bricking and dont want to pass until got blocked all the way.
Yao telling his teammates they need to come in early and shoot, his teammates should tell him to generally grow some balls. Tracy telling the media that the bench loses leads, well start of the third they had a lead that the starting line up gave up so now the bench needs to tell Tracy to lead and set the example... Mr. I miss way more shots than I make but it ain't my fault because I score a lot of points. When Tracy attacks the basket he should use his athleticism consistently like Kobe does and when he gets to the free throw line make the free throws. Yao stop turning over the darn ball on passes when your in the post, that's what he does consistently. These are your two so-called leaders, how can role players respect that? On the other hand Mike James is playing like he needs to be in the NBDL and not Aaron Brooks.
