Its December, so its year end list time. I saw 24 movies at the theatre this year and these are my top 10: 1) The Lives of Others 2) Into the Wild 3) Bourne Ultimatum 4) Michael Clayton 5) Zodiac 6) SuperBad 7) Mr. Brooks 8) Reign over Me 9)American Gangster 10) 300 I haven't seen Knocked Up or Rocket Science as yet. I didn't really get No Country for Old Men, thus its not on my list. Post your top ten.
man, i only watched 2 movies this year. 1. Pirates of the carribean 2. Oceans 13. but i saved money on my insurance by switching to Geico. people, you gotta watch the movie The Insider. It's available on torrent
1.300 2.Superbad 3.Death Sentence 4.1408 5.Black Snake Moan 6.Blades of Glory 7.Planet Terror 8.Hot Fuzz 9.Knocked Up 10. I am going to give this one to No Country for Old Men... even though I haven't seen it, but it just seems like my kinda movie. I'll be seeing it this weekend, FINALLY!
I didn't realize how few movies I saw this year. So many that I'm struggling to post 10 that I saw and liked, as opposed to trimming a list down to 10. Hell, I'm even throwing in I Am Legend simply because I need to fill a spot and I know I'm going to like it a lot. 1) Into The Wild 2) I Am Legend* 3) Reign Over Me 4) Knocked Up 5) Zodiac 6) Superbad 7) 300 8) Beowulf 9) Transformers 10) Hot Fuzz I'm not sure how I did, but I completely forgot about Reign Over Me until just the other day when I saw something about it on TV. It's just one of those movies that when you leave the theather or get up off the couch, you know you're better off than you were before you saw it. I'm going to have to suggest that one to my mom now that it's on DVD.
I'll do a Top 5. I saw more than that, but these are the ones that I thought were really good. 1. No Country for Old Men 2. Superbad 3. The Bourne Ultimatum 4. Death Proof 5. Shooter Fatty, I haven't seen Transformers, but I agree with you. I thought Knocked Up was just awful.
1) 3:10 to Yuma 2) 300 3) Live Free or Die Hard 4) Superbad 5) American Ganster 6) 28 Weeks Later 7) Ratatouille 8) Knocked Up 9) Bourne Ultimatum 10) Disturbia
I didn't remember that some of these movies were this new... 1) Shoot 'Em Up 2) Die Hard 4 3) Pirates of The Caribbean 4) 1408 5) The Simpsons Movie 6) American Gangster 7) Blades of Glory
Can't think of very many right now... These aren't in any particular order 1) Bourne Ultimatum 2) Transformers (The graphics were incredible) 3) Ocean's 13 4) Facing the Giants

The Lookout Notes on a Scandal The Lives of Others Air Guitar Nation (documentary on world air guitar contest) Needy Housewives IX The Bourne Ultimatum King of Kong (documentary on the world of competitive Donkey Kong) You're Gonna Miss Me (documentary about Roky Erikson) This Is England The Good German (in no order, and there are number of movies from this year that I have yet to see).
Damn, I forgot The Lookout. It'd probably be around 7 on my list. I dog eared This Is England when I saw the preview but never got around to seeing it. Is it easy enough to find at Blockbuster, or would I have to order it online? I don't have netflix or anything
1) My Kid Could Paint That 2) Lars and the Real Girl 3) Grindhouse 4) I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With (had to watch it on IFC on Demand, damn midwestern multiplexes) 5) The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford 6) Amazing Grace 7) September Dawn (apologies to any LDS members) 8) Elizabeth the Golden Age 9) Breach 10) Into the Wild Honorable Mention: Lions for Lambs (I think it's more balanced than the general public; and will be better regarded 10-15 years from now, particularly Mr. Cruise) Sight unseen, I'll go ahead and assume Charlie Wilson's War and Juno will be in my top five.
1) Knocked up 2) Superbad I think those are the only 2 movies I watched all year excluding older ones.
