With yet another tragedy in the USA from a seemingly disturbed suicidal person (we don't have the facts) we are looking at a trend and the next level is suicide bombs. As bad as some of you think guns are look at what the real damage comes from. Bombs. Easy to make, and a backpack could carry a large amount of damage if sone in a crowded shopping mall where there could be 30 people in the very close vicinity.
Well, why worry about it? The probability you get killed by driving or gun violence is way higher than that.
Umm worrying about gun violence is like worrying about lightning when compared to driving deaths. I worry about it cause it a greater terror and would institute things like bag checking at malls. Terror is not about numbers. Its about people knee jerk reactions from being terrorized. 8 people killed today from a gun and its national frontpage leading news. More people will die this weekend of alcohol poisoning.
I highly doubt there will be bag checks in every mall if even a suicide bomber managed to kill tens of people. Cho killed similar number of people but VTech didn't do anything afterwards. The only thing the government did was to prevent psychos from getting guns. Also, anther five people died in another shopping mall shooting in Salt Lake City earlier this year and it barely was in the news. I think you need multiple and frequent incidents of suicide bombing to cause such level of panic.
We need to have a reality check on the prison and mental instiutional system in this country. Dumping them off on the street in the 80's seems to have not worked out so well. Intitution--->Street---->prison Intitution--->Street---->dead
