    It boggles my mind how well some guys can play when they're plugged in for injured teammates, and it makes me wonder how many stars we have around the NBA that are simply the victim of circumstance (aka "having an established player in front of them). The idea of this thread is pretty self explanatory. Just fill in the blanks.

    For example...

    If Rasheed Wallace weren't on his team, Jason Maxiell could likely be a star.

    If TJ Ford weren't on his team, Jose Calderon could likely be a star.

    If Jeff Van Gundy wasn't the coach last year...V-Span would be a star on the Rockets this year.

    This is hard for the NBA, I'm gonna do a few NFLs and older ones.


    If Peja Stojakovic weren't on the Sacramento Kings, Gerald Wallace would've likely been a star earlier and lead the Kings deeper into the playoffs.


    If Chauncey Billiups weren't on the Pistons, Flip Murray could likely be a star.


    If ]Brett Favre weren't alive, Aaron Rodgers could likely be a consistent starter for the Packers.

    This is kinda off topic, but

    If Shaq was not in the NBA, Ericka Dampier could likely be the #1 center.

    The first that came to mind:
    If Kobe Bryant weren't on his team, Lamar Odom could likely be a star.

    If Damon Stoudemire weren't on his team, Kyle Lowry could likely be a star.

    If Luke Ridnour weren't on his team, Delonte West could likely be a star.

    If Allen Iverson weren't on his team, JR Smith could likely be a star.

    Sorry, I have to say this one:
    If Isiah Thomas weren't on his team, Stephon Marbury, Quentin Richardson, Eddy Curry, etc. could likely be stars.

    If Shaquille O'Neal weren't on the Lakers from 01 - 04, then Kobe Bryant could be close to catching Michael Jordan's 10 seasons of leading the league in scoring.
