So the US (yes international competition) is back in the Davisa Cup final for the first time since Sampras was still playing Davis Cup and we have the Russian's on our courts here in the states. So I'm getting fired up for some good tv this weekend and then I see the freaking TENNIS CHANNEL is not showing it live. It's 2007 YOU ARE THE TENNIS CHANNEL HOW DO YOU NOT SHOW IT LIVE? So freaking pissed, Rockets lose last night, stupid Homo and little d win and now this crap

I'm a big tennis fan, and even I don't like the Davis Cup. They play it too often, and it dilutes any victory. Half the time, the best players don't even show up. I heard that Marat Safin was climbing a mountain in the Himalayas and skipped the last round altogether. They should have it once every four years like the Ryder Cup in golf.
Well Safin is no longer Russia's best player. Having said that I still think I would have played him instead of Tursonov. Safin seems to show up for these Davis cup matches when he plays. I just think the davis cup loses steam when they have it scheduled throughout the tennis season. I'd enjoy it more if they took a whole week maybe 2 to play it out like any other tournment. Or if they held it every 4 years but off the olympic years.
