Rockband or Guitar Hero 3??

depends, do u have a bunch of friends to play with all the time? if so then Rock Band, if you are just going to play solo, then I would say Guitar Hero.

imo, its kinda useless to play Rock Band if its just one person playing it

 

I would feel so gay playing thse.

 

Except for the price difference I can't imagine why anyone would get GH3 over Rock Band. In my opinion Rock Band makes Guitar Hero obsolete. I have both and haven't played GH3 once since I bought Rock Band.

 

supposedly a lot of ppl are reporting hardware issues with rockband..i think something wrong with the strummer on the guitar or something...i played gh 3 on the wii..and i like it. never played rockband tho

 

If you have people to play with=Rockband. It costs considerably more but from people I spoke with, its fun as hell.

I own both for the 360, and there is seriously no reason to play GH3 once you have Rock Band

 

I really don't understand why some people say this?

Rock Band has solo guitar modes just like GHs, it's even better IMO

 

Rockband is awesome........ Multi player is the way to go.... Have a bunch of people over to your house and start a jam session.... I don't think you can buy either guitar hero 3 or rockband at your retail stores anymore.... You're going to have to look it up online somewhere like Ebay.....

 

I have and love GH3. I also have GH2 and enjoy that. I'm going to get Rockband. If I get only get one I would say rock band. That's abviously a semi-uninformed opinion. But you can still play rock band by yourself in the same or similar manner to GH3. There is or will be more songs available to download on rock band. Plus if you want to try different instruments you can. And if ever other people want to play along side you that can be done as well.

Rock Band has more and better DLC - about the same price but obviously you get drum and vocal tracks too. I think the DLC is integrated into the game better as well, compared to GH.

 

if you have zero interest in playing drums then get guitar hero, simple as that.

rockband is guitar hero plus much much more, so it's not a fair comparison. playing fake drums is, imo, much funner then playing fake guitar because you're atleast mimicking the actual instrument.

 

I used to be one of those people that made fun of the guys who played Guitar Hero video games. I kept thinking, "I play real gigs (drums)... why would I need to play a video game when I can do the real thing?" Then Rock Band came out and my mom got it for me as a present. My first thought was, "Wow... I hope I enjoy this. Kind of risky." Then I played it a little and I thought, "This is fun... I can see how people can get caught up in it." Then I ended up playing it for 4 hours straight with one of my friends. Now I'm addicted. I actually had ~10 people over to my house on Friday night and we ended up playing it for over 8 hours. People kept rotating in and out. Some people were musicians, some had never seen a musical instrument in their life, but everyone had a blast.

Since Friday, I've gotten text messages or phone calls from 50% of the people that were there wondering when I was going to do that again because they had so much fun.

 

When someone abbreviated words can you have a list at the bottom to see what they mean??? Come on I'm not the ghostwriter crew or freaking sherlock Holmes here!!!! What the heck does dlp mean???

 

DLC??? Yeah what does that mean??? Drums link component, Digital Lance Cross????
