What is more disappointing is when a players goes up to a ref, most of them walk away from the player and ignore them. I think this is a terrible thing for a ref to do, because it allows them to take the easy way out instead of explaining the call to the player. Leaving without even listening to the player is cowardly and ignorant.
WHY you find it hilarious and pathetic? WHAT ELSE can he do? Walk up and punch the referee? In fact as he said after the game, he was p!$$ed and frustrated not just because of the wrong call. He was p!$$ed and frustrated about his own team mates. So should he walk up and slap and wake up every of his team mates ??
yao is so cool to speak out these unfair treatment... this is the first time i saw yao had such drastic reaction. awesome!!
you guy are so ridiculous. the nba is not racist. shaq is officiated just as bad as yao. its just so hard to ref big men. btw i also thought yao's "temper tantrum" was hilarious. i think he's been practicing that in front of a mirror at home
It wasn't really hillarious, but if i was the ref i certainly wouldn't be wetting my pants. That was a pathetic effort of being angry.
Adelman just said in this mornings chronicle that he dosent blame yao whatsoever over he's outburst. if anything adelman also had a furios jab at the disgracefull officiating that has plagued yao for years now.
I've been saying this for sometime now. All Yao has to do is cause a concussion, a broken nose, and maybe knock out a tooth or 2 and NOBODY will ever f*** around again. I don't mind Yao getting suspended a few games over a flagrant cause other players won't be willing to risk getting their face fitted for a facemask. Next time someone tries to dunk on Yao, he should chokeslam them. Swing after a shot and make sure the opponents meets a hard forearm across the face. Swing back some elbows while boxing out.
yeah, a ref has time to explain calls to every b****ing nba player on every call. you must want a four hour game as well.
LMFAO at the YOF pulling the race card. Yao playing in the NBA is like a black man trying to ride a bus back in the day? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, give me a damn break. You're comparing basketball to life situations. I'm pretty sure NBA players aren't calling him racial slurs, hosing him down with water and have police dogs attack him after a loss.
spoken like a dude who's never played sports IRL. officials are under no obligation to explain themselves to anyone, they just are obligated to officiate properly according to the rules when they make calls. refs walk away because someone has to... if the player wont... in order to deescalate the situation. what do you want to do, have the ref stand there arguing and fistfighting dudes like refs and someone's ghetto/whitetrash dad at a pop warner game? in many team sports you cant even talk to the official, only designated reps like captains or coaches can even talk to a ref. the first thing you learn as a kid playing on your first team is to stfu and not argue with the refs. right or wrong when you step onto the court you agree to a set of rules defining the game, primary among them to have this dude in stripes arbitrate the game and to accept his rulings now in a pseudo "sports entertainment" sport like the NBA, yes the players have no class and cry to the ref like a bunch of girls. but even then to EXPECT the ref to stand there and listen is straight up homo, like you never put on a uniform IRL before yeah yao got jacked on those 3 calls and he knew what he was doing when he threw that towel. good for him, but what you expect the ref to stand there and hold his hand for him, or pat him on the back and say "good job" before ejecting him?
I think the right thing Yao needs to do is seriously declare his claim for a fair play to the media, like espn and broadcast it to the whole nations.
I am not American, i dont know too much of the history. i just wondering what is the story behind the so-called "black people trying to ride the bus in the back days” ?
