Ok what do you suppose he does. noone else was making any shots and yao had gone into he's shell. whats he meant to do?. noone sayss anything about kobe going for 13-35 when he freezes hes teammates out?. he went for 42 points on 14-28 shooting. thats 50%. CONSIDERING TRACY WAS 3-14 AT THE HALF. HE WENTHE MADE 11 OF HES 14 SECOND HALF SHOTS. he also went 3-4 from the 3pt line after the hal. he scored 30 points in the second half.

Think before you dribble of noonsense. he went 11 of 14 in the second half for 30 POINTS ON RON ARTEST.

LOL nice job guys, lets bash the guy that carried the team in the 4th quarter to make it a game. God forbid that he smiles.

Nice flame thread. I probably shouldn't but I'll join. I don't really have any problems with his game tonight, other than being too jumpshot happy, but to answer your question - he was grinning and I did NOT see him crying - taking losing hard? Don't answer.

Tmac was angry at the end of the game...he had one of those blank, i-have-something-to-prove-next-game kind of look.

Read my post before that, I'm not assesing his smile, I am looking at his defense, hustle and overall passion/fire.

I guess I really offended you, sorry bout that, but I believe Tmac has very, very poor leadership qualities.

Thats my opinion and I'm sticking to it....

no heart whatsoever. as much as a great player he is, he will never win a championship (unless yao becomes the leader, which is up to the referees).

he always smiles and winks at camera when they are down- pisses the **** out of me.

I want to win a championship, and I have a hard time accepting lazy, unmotivated, heartless performances......

As much as I hate Kobe, I wonder what his passion and will could do in Tmacs body....

Another reason why we desperately need Steve.

    BUT
when was the last time (if ever) you saw dwayne wade smile down 10 with 5 mins to go?

    or kobe
    or duncan
    or nowitzki
    or nash
    or yao
    or kg

i sure as hell haven't. it's a matter of heart- not with the fact that he had a fabulous 2nd half.

This is the kind of threads which makes me try to ban myself from reading this board on those nights after we lose a game.

Why? Is Kobe's body not good enough for him? The All-mighty Kobe Bryant. The guy full of heart and never say lose attitude. The guy who NEVER EVER chucks up a bad shot. He always attacks the rim and won't let his team lose.

What has he done without Shaq?

Not get out of the first round. I don't see why Kobe should be considered all that much better than T-Mac?

Maybe T-Mac was trying and it doesn't seem like it. I don't know, I will let the stats speak for themselves. Maybe he could do with some help from the team? Other than Yao, of course.

I am done defending T-Mac to people who are mad after a loss. Even Yao, for that matter.

It's an opinion. I don't think it's THAT bad that he smiles. Yes, he smiles but it's not like he played like **** and smiled. He played well. He tried hard. And trying hard is not driving in evey possession to make the fans happy. Trying hard is producing, and he produced. That's my opinion.

And if you watched at the end of the game sitting on the bench, he wasn't happy. He was pretty pissed.

I am glad the management doesn't have to care or listen to what you guys say...most of you, anyways. I honestly think you couldn't find anything elso to blame T-Mac about so you blame him smiling. I swear if he kept a solemn face but he untucked his shirt you guys would jump on him for that.

Blame the rest of the team. Don't blame the guy that led the team. Don't say T-Mac didn't lead them. T-Mac has yelled at his teammates plenty of times and told them what to do when they are doing something wrong. Many times in the GS game T-Mac would wave off Steve Francis when he was trying to pass him the ball. He said "Drive in, score it" but Steve (and other players/PGs on the team) only wanted to force it to T-Mac and force it to Yao. They ended up doing many bad passes and turning it over. T-Mac got pissed and yelled at him in the lineup. He does lead by example, as well.

I know it's small but it is an example that T-Mac does lead the team. You just don't see it as much. And why are people starting to call T-Mac selfish? Maybe he was in Orlando, maybe, but he's definitely not now. He was forced to take a lot of shots today. No one else was taking/making them. He feeds the hot hand, and sometimes people jump on him for relying on his teammates instead of taking over if the said "hot hand" misses the game winning shot, or whatever.

Also, it's not like Kobe gives his all every single game either. If a game is lost or almost lost, he chucks up shots. If he gets hot, he makes them and that opens up the drive game. People call him clutch and a never-give-up guy. But they lose a lot of games. Kobe is a factor of that because he too chucks up shots at the end when they are still somewhat close.

Kobe hasn't got out of the first round without Shaq. He also blew a 3-1 lead.
KG's team was garbage after Spree n all left. They didnt even make the playoffs.
Pierce had his team struggling in the East...wow.
The Heat play miserably withouth Shaq. Last season Wade barely kept them afloat.

A lot of stars have their problems. T-Mac is not the only one. His demeanor is different but the leadership is there.

I know my opinion is probably going to piss a lot of you off but I'm sorry I think it's not fair to blame either T-Mac or Yao yet. But they are the stars, and the leaders, maybe they deserve it. Still, I don't think so. When the rest of the team plays like sh*t, I don't think they deserve criticism.

Yes T-Mac and Yao both come across as very soft, and sometimes they are, but for the most part I think they are both passionate players. If you're going to hate on one, hate on both. Was this thread really about T-Mac's smile at the end or was it just a channel to release all the anger of losing to a mediocre team?

If it was just about the smile, then you have a point but the whole 'heartless' and 'no leadership' thing shouldn't come in to play. Name a player, most of them have gone nowhere without a good team. The Rockets still have many faults.

I hate it when these YOF's find the silliest reasons to bash T-Mac.

    What a HORRIBLE thread

Go watch Carmelo Anthony and the sh*t eating grin on his mug during ANY TIME in the game. After a made shot, missed shot, turnover, listening to his coach....

Dwyane Wade always gets a pass as one of the league good guys, but that dude's ALWAYS making some celebratory mannerisms, doing some kinda strut after an and-1 play....

Isiah Thomas is famously known for his misleading smile.

If someone smiling in an inappropriate moment is a pet peeve, can't argue against that. If its assaulting the person's character when the person has before shown himself to be different from what the smile suggests, thats just lame.

Look, TM's expression shows his attitude towards the game. And that is why or partially why Rox is losing.

I know I only have a hand full of posts so no one will listen to me, lol. But I'm a stats guy and the stats say. T-Mac and Yao superstars, the rest of the team doesn't derserve to be playing with them. Trade everyone but but yao and tracy for some people who can shot alteast 39% and finals here we come.
