Justin Timberlake took away any chance of MJ ever getting sexy back.

HAHAHA! OMG, I can't believe that was used TWICE in the same thread.

"mark out" is pro wrestling geek speek for getting excited. A fan of a certain pro wrestler is called a "mark", and to mark out is to get all excited and scream whenever that pro wrestler comes out.

    Yes, I am a dork...

Michael Jackson wasn't just a "happening pop idol". Not sure exactly what you mean, but it doesn't sound good.

LOL!! That's what I was thinking as well. That song posted earlier iin this thread sounded like a Justin knockoff. But, then again, when Justin started doing more solo stuff, I said, "Damn, he sounds like Michael Jackson."

Smooth Criminal was my favorite song by MJ and my opinion the best dance video.

Probably posted, but kind of awesome - several hundred filipino prisoners performm Thriller. Better than any marching band.

    Prince is Normal?

VooDooPope - you wearing you purple ruffles and Ass out jeans today? *grin*

It is hard for *anyone* to imagine what being Michael Jackson is about
no one had it like he did . .. .
elvis had parts of it .. and he went into drugs etc

QUESTION: People rag on MJ for the Surgeries. . . imo . . . it was his drug . ..would people been more forgiving had he simply been a Meth Head, Heroine Addict, Crackhead . . . .instead of the surgeries? I dunno . . I tend to think surgeries are strange and just as unhealthy . . . but addiction is addiction . . .

as for the Child Molestor stuff. . . . nothing was ever proven beyond folx wanted to get paid

Where's your pride for The Pride man? Were you at the game? Because from where I was standing, it was awesome. I'm not under some false illusion that our band is elite, but the Thriller performance was pretty cool.

The guy's chance at developing like a normal human being died when he was born into that weird ass family dynamic. His father would push him into music and entertainment, his mom disapproved (being Jehovah's Witnesses) and Mike was convinced he was constantly sinning.

On Jackson five tours, his dad was a tyrant (reportedly) but he'd get with groupies while his mom stayed home. Mike and his brothers shared a hotel room, and his brothers would get with girls while Mike's in the other bed.

They tried to set him up with a girl once, so that he'd make a move. They got a girl after a show and put Mike and that girl in a hotel room and left. Mike pulled out a bible and started reading it to the girl. What nine year old does this on a date? Also, who puts nine year olds in a hotel room.

In this case, I'm going with nurture (vs. nature) and saying his family was fubar.

I grew up going to Grambling, Prarieview, and TSU games with my family. Also went to a few A&M games with my uncle who is an alum. So I had quite a bias as to what a good college band was before going to OU. Not the Pride's fault of course, but still, they suck, imo.

    1. Beatles
    2. Elvis
    3. Michael Jackson.

There should be no discussion about this.
