Overall, I have to go with a kick or punt return for a TD in football. Even if I am not that interested in the game, I always find myself pumped up after seeing one.

    As far as individual sports:

    Football - Kick/Punt return for a TD

Basketball - This is real hard for me to make a call on. I have to go with a hard fought defensive stop for a 24 sec violation during crunch time, although its really not a "play" but a series of them. I love defense. Otherwise, I would go with stuffed dunk attempt @ the rim.

Baseball - Hustling triple. Could easily go with an inside the park HR here, but they are so rare. I always get up for a hustling triple.

As much as I don't really care to watch Soccer.... It doesn't get much better than penalty kicks in a World Cup game.

Basketball - Game winning (or losing) play out of a timeout when a team is down by 1 with 15 seconds left in the game.

Football - QB sack when the defense recovers the ball. This can totally change the game in an instant.

Baseball - Hard collision at the plate when an outfielder is trying to throw out a runner at home. Will the catcher hold onto the ball or not?

Does this question have to be asked?

    <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/AInAEdoyshY&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/AInAEdoyshY&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

Things that happen all the time?

    1. Basketball - Weakside blocks. As much as a fundamentals guy as I am, nothing is more exciting than meeting a guy in the lane and sending his shot into the stands. It other than buzzer-beaters, nothing else gets a crowd excited.

    2. Baseball - Stolen bases. Especially when the baserunner teases the pitcher. In my mind, Ricky Henderson was the most fun-to-watch baseball player ever.

    3. Football - For me, it's a three-way tie between return touchdowns, interceptions, and sacks.

Basketball - A nasty rejection on one end, turned into a 3 on 2 fast break with perfect passing and ending in a facial over a helpless defender.

    1. FOOTBALL: A goal just after the opposing team scores (see: New England Revolution, 2006) in over time
    2. BASKETBALL: A shot at the buzzer to win the game
    3. FOOTBALL from the United States: A kickoff return

I keep watching that Dream move to see if David R. (poor guy) will actually do something different this time. :D

A steal of home with two out in the bottom of the ninth to win the 7th game of a World Series.

Last play of the game multiple-lateral touchdown to win.

Catch and shoot three to win the game with less than a second left.
