the lack of effort was truly appalling. no team should ever be out efforted as badly as the rockets were last night. the game reminded me of the 1st phoenix game this season, not getting back in transition, not getting out to the shooters effectively on defense, and then not putting the energy forth needed to play well offensively.
it was embarassing for the rockets to come back one night after beating phoenix and to completely lay down like they did last night.
the sad thing was it started from the tip off, the first 5 minutes when they fell down huge was b/c they didn't come out with any energy at all, i think the starting lineup needs tinkering with and either scola or francis needs to start to provide more offensive punch and hopefully a little more energy.
lets hope the rockets realize they are a .500 team right now and they start playing hard every night and run off a nice little win streak.

Our Bench played well except for Bonzi. They scored 20 + points. We lost because 3 of our 5 starters didn't show up and throw Chuck Hayes into the equation that only leaves with Rafer as a shooter

Of all the years following the Rockets I have not seen such a brutal begining to a schedule.

Golden State had a back to back, but didn't play like it, the Rockets did. Francis, James, and Scola showed some "fire." Our stars looked a bit disinterested. This team is going to need ALOT of help to progress in the playoffs, maybe even get there. I know the schedule has been brutal, but "champions" don't let up, and don't take nights off. Finally, the Warriors make scoring look so easy, and the Rockets make it look so hard.

I got such an awesome mms link for last night's game.. it was just unfortunate that the Rockets was losing so bad I x'd it out midway through the 3rd. I went to bed all pissed and in a bad mood. Hopefully the Rox will bounce back up the next game. I wanna sleep well.

We can talk about tough schedule blah blah blah...I'm watching how they play. If they come out focused and ready to play, establish their will on the game, the wins tend to take care of themselves, and it usually doesn't matter who it's against.

Last night, they weren't ready to play. Period. If your superstars are disinterested, the rest of the team usually follows suit. To me, it looked like either they had gotten full of themselves after the win over Phoenix and thought that showing up they would get the win, or they were satisfied with the big win over Phoenix and didn't really care about beating Golden State. Like it was their goal to split the back to back or something, and no matter what they were going to achieve that goal, so they didn't approach last night's game the right way.

Whatever it was, the contenders don't let this happen. You can lose, but at least go down swinging every time. Especially when you make more $$ in one game than I do all year.

F*ck it... It's just one game. THis is the NBA; even the best of teams will get blown out once in a while. The Rockets are still learning, and getting handled by a team like GS can only accelerate the learning experience... Let's see if these high-octane run and gun Offenses can sustain that type of play over 82+ games. It'll be a miracle if either Suns or GS doesn't have a major injury to someone by April.

A leader? I have said it many times, Francis is one although he should not be one. Without Francis and Scola, this team is going to lose the first round again.

If we keep losing games like last night, we won't exceed last years win total, book it.

Obviously. Just keep in mind that we were never the favorites to win the title the two years we did. As long as we can gell by the playoffs we can do some damage. While I wanted us to win obviously, I am more disheartened by not even competing in the 2nd half. Both teams were playing back to back's so that is only a partial excuse.

It's like a roller coaster on this forum, one day every body is walking on water and the next day the wrold is coming to an end. No consistency everything is always negative and doom after a loss and when we win you hear, oh i believe in this team and the coach and blah blah blah.

The rockets aren't playing all the weak teams first like the celtics. We have the toughest schedule of any team in the league. Back to backs suns and warriors,Dallas already twice, spurs twice, suns twice and everybody whining all the time with all the negative thoughts one day you love the team the next day they won't get out the first round.

    NEGATIVE ENERGY

Well that was kind of my point in saying that even the years we won titles we weren't the favorites going in. It is natural to be disappointed, especially in a game where the team isn't even competitive. That doesn't mean the coach needs to fired, the starting line up needs to change, and Yao and Tmac need to be traded though.

It's easy to score when fastbreaking off turnovers. Rockets didn't play much defense last night either. Golden State is a good team when healthy, and when they are hitting their shots they can be very good, remember they beat the Mavs in the playoffs.

Given that, let's see what happens when they play the Rockets in Houston, and the Rockets don't have to play Phoenix the night before.

Adelman should have put in players who wanted to win. It seems like all starters
are flat out of steam and Chuck Hayes .. well is there any starter in any team that came out and get 0 pts with 0 attempts in 10 min.

I have said before, any player who is off or tired or lack of intensity should sit
after there is no improvement after 5 - 10min and let someone who want to play take over.

Everyone on the active roster other than Mutumbo played and only Head and Hayes played less than 18 minutes. Not sure who he was supposed to sub in.

I think when we got back to 35-33 (the first time we lead), Adelman rest TMac
which should not happened as the combination at that moment was good and
close the gap. Should have let that combination play until they increase the gap bigger or started to lose again.

very unhappy about how rox lost. remember tmac's last T? 2005 playoff game 7 vs Dallas. that game refs also sucks. tmac got dragged down for a layup while no call. tmac yelled at the ref and got a T. then he gave up, chose not to play, sitting there watch his team losing 40 pts.
yesterday the same, no call then he got upset. then he gave up. he stood on court, no asking for ball or running for position. finally coach gave up and let him sit.
WHAT IF THERE IS ANOTHER GAME 7??
Tmac needs to learn how to win with refs sucks.

i don't think u saw that game 7 right. if i remember correctly, he got that T in the first half. and our team was fighting until mid-3rd quarter and we were still within striking distance (13 pts) but then they just got on a roll. tmac played hard when he was out there (27 pts, 7 boards, 7 dimes)

please don't make comments when u clearly don't watch games.

After reviewing the game against GSW again for the second time, I am just
felt disappointed that we missed so many freebies (FT) and open shots (clear open ones). When we close the gap, we started to shoot poorly and we fell behind further again. I suggest more shooting practice and more FT training
    (I mean a lot more).
