610 sucks, I'll just wait for the recap. I sure wish I could go back in time and know how bad some of the sports radio shows in this town would be because I would of gone a a different way in college. I am 100% sure that RyanWagner17 and I could put on a better Houston Radio show than 90% of the one's out there.
Some of you people are Rude to MattJ who comes in here and gives us the heads up?!? Thanks Matt. Keep up the good work and keep talking Rockets talk.
Can someone gimme a synopsis, I'm in lecture right now and my professor isn't much of a Rockets fan. I don't think he'll like me listening to that. Ahh biology, how I loath and love thee.
Steve was very candid and said basically everything I was hoping he'd say. (the following are paraphrased) "I understand that Yao and Tracy...the other guys...everything still revolves around them and everybody understands they've got a role to play." "I just play and my game is what it is, whether it rubs off on other guys or not. I think everyone should be excited when they're out there playing." (in regards to his celebration last night after his block on Marion) "When I was here before, I had to do basically everything. It's nice, and a lot easier on me, to go out there and contribute however I can, but not necessarily have to carry the whole load". (again, the previous were paraphrased) Good stuff.
This was a really great interview. I think Steve showed his maturity in this interview. I started thinking he's learned the PC things to say, but honestly, I think all of his answers where sincere. I'm a huge SF fan, and I'm so glad that (1) He's finally getting playing time; (2) He's doing so well; (3) He's grown up!
This is the part of the interview that got me really excited. I really like his mentality about his role on this team. It's definitely a good time to be a Rockets fan right now.
Well, Francis has always said the right things to the press. But many times he didn't back that up on the court. Whether because he's simply not good enough to improve those areas, or didn't want to. I'm not sure. But one thing I like about Francis is that he doesn't say bad PR stuff for the team. That said, Francis really did seem to grow up this year. I was very afraid he'd pull a Bonzi after being left out of the rotation. But he stayed quiet, waited for his chance, and took advantage of the opportunity given. Props to Steve for his patience.
