lol, thats what i was thinking. heres a great link on why u shouldnt buy a mac http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=macs_cant
Hayesfan, I bought it at an Apple store in Houston. CompUSA and Fry's have already been mentioned, certain Best Buy's carry them as well - you can check on their website to see which stores carry Apple computers. I bought a MacBook. I like a lot so far just playing with it, but I've only had it for a few days. Mainly planning on using it for web browsing in front of the tv and possibly carrying it with me when I travel for work so that I have a non-company owned laptop with me. I don't have any real big plans for it and don't plan on using a mouse with it. Swoly, no, I didn't read the "manual" that came with the computer. It was so small that I honestly didn't think it would tell how to right click, thought it would be all hardware and hardware troubleshooting information. Looking in it now, I see it did tell how to right click (two fingers on the touchpad and then click - though this has to be enabled in the options). As you well know though, asking the normally enthusiastic Mac folk on this board is easier than reading. Not to mention, the control + click wasn't mentioned in the manual. So I'm glad I asked, as I think I like that option better. Sorry I disturbed your day with my question. To the people that are "sorry" that I bought a Mac: why? They're good computers. I've never met anyone who owned one that didn't like it. Why the hate? Thanks for the suggestions from everyone else.
I said "don't take this the wrong way", and you took it the wrong way. NOW YOU NEED A SPANKING because it still is allowed in Texas. jk. Enjoy your Mac, man. And RTFM next time, oki dokie?
tell me more about VLC and how the hell does t work and what it does. someone downloaded it on my macbook pro and i really dont know what it is... thanks i love the video conference feature on i chat.. also hot corners are pretty cool. go to settings to customize
I guess I should've read the manual too. I've had my MacBook for about 7 months and I just found out about the double tap for right-clicks. Wow. Btw, I should really get on upgrading/clean installing Leopard sometime in the coming weeks. I've got a copy of Vista for 15 bucks (I know it sucks, but I'm just gonna use it for poker) and am looking to use Boot Camp to dual install.
It's just a media player. It's SUPPOSED to play anything and everything but still ats funky with some files. I use MPlayer OSX a lot more.
