Rick A is a true leader after he lets a leader Francis play the games after the Houston fans call the sport radio, write the posts in this side, the chron.com and all Houston sport places. By the way, B. Wells needs to be benched right now if Rick A is a true leader again.
Rick Addle-brained does not inspire greatness in his players. Rockets would be wise to get rid of this guy before they get in too deep a hole.
i'm glad he got a raw deal! he got a raw deal in New York. At least Don was vindicated there since all of his successors stunk too, proving it was management/ownership not the coaching.
As much I hate it, Horry's 3 was legit. Samaki Walkers 3 AFTER the buzzer at half time of that game they counted should have been waived. I'm still pissed about that game. That SHOULD HAVE been their year as champions.
That's why Clutch City was so special. Each of them so powers that transcend space and time. Put Horry on the X Wing fighter and he'll drop the torpedoes on the Death Star on the first shot. No hesitation.
JVG was a leader. Rick the Ruler doesn't lead. He lets his players figure it out for themselves. Hell, Deke looks like more of a leader than Rick.
I haven't followed the Rockets under JVG so i can't comment on that but his record shows he's a good coach. Indeed it's not about how many titles he has won it's about what he can bring to the Rockets. So far it hasn't payed off but you can't tell right now how the Rockets will be at the end of the year or next year when everybody knows their role, the system is fully implemented etc. That doesn't mean this team has bad players and need some kind of a trade but i believe this team can make the playoffs, if the players give a 100% and are more consistent. I give Adelman the benefit of the doubt because it's only 2 months in his first season with a new team but i don't like his emotionlessness. He doesn't show the emotions he did back with the Blazers where he would get mad, yell at their players and get frustrated when they didn't play well or they were down big. I have seen two full games so far and the loss to the Raptors i haven't seen come up off the bench once. Maybe he's too old to have some energy but if you think of the Rockets' play in one of their losses all you have to think of is that emotionless face of Adelman on the bench.
(I know, 2 months late response) A while back they played this song outta nowhere in a reggae club in Atlanta of all places. I was like whaaat, why or HOW is THIS happening, Nice! And The Ruler's message still shined through as much as ever, almost brought a tear to my eye... - - - Concerning the Rockets, I'm sure the players are aware that Adelman's a good coach, though it should have to take THIS long to adjust. And they're still adjusting. But the most effective way for his system to set in is allow passage of time for that to happen....though I wish it wasnt at the expense of W's in the Won-Loss column. Meaning, reality has to sink in with each player that Adelman's the man and there's no turning back. And "there will be no Jeff Van Gundy walking through that door". For Adelman to set in, Van Gundy has to set out. Including "Van Gundy" type players possibly.
Word! People need to know their hip-hop history. Slick Rick was the smoothest MC, he was a story teller. Rick Adelman is smooth too!
i agree with u completely...i cant understand people here are so excited with this coach and the current rotation...
