I wonder what happens when other teams visit this forum after a game vs us. I can already see it "Rocket fans are weird, they won a close game vs us and they still want Rafer out" "It's incredible, those fans are stupid, they won a game and still wanted to see Steve and Adelman fired" "what is up with that Yaozer, that guy sounds sexy" "That board pisses and whines despite a win or loss"
What's funny is that they can totally do the same thing to our forum after a loss. Lot of doomsday posts usually that other people would find funny.
ya i think tht's a walk on francis too....hahaahahahahaahahaha.....suck that phoenix fans......finally a BS call that benefit us
Didn't think it was a travel on the play at the end, but he seems to take extra steps in transition frequently that don't get called for some reason. Not sure why he always seems to pick up his dribble early on the break and just run the ball to the basket.
I dunno, I thought he did travel a couple of times. We get some, we lose some. We happened to perhaps get a couple there. I can understand Phx fans being upset about it.
It seems like the key for beating the Suns is to catch them when they are slow the problem is the Rox can't count on playing the Suns when they are slow.
Phoenix fans have no right to b**** at all about the call at the end, There were some horrendous calls going on last night. Shane's 2 phantom fouls on Amare and Marion. The Stupid-ass Delay of Games on Yao The Blocking Fouls on T-Mac and Chuck when they were clearly set up outside the restricted zone and the Suns player bowled them over. The No-Call when Nash kicked Yao Stevie did take 3 steps on his fast break layup, and probably traveled again. The refs were just bad last night. Missing calls, letting calls go, then all the sudden calling cheap fouls. I was seriously wondering if they had money on the game.
The key to holding down phoenix is defend nash well in the first ten seconds and get the ball out of his hands. All the other players start acting like its a ticking timebomb after that time or when they arent fed by nash and jack up some crazy shot. This team is crap without nash and would be lucky to win 40 games.
Btw, i loved the three guard rotation we had and all three of them jamming the ball down phoenix's throat. It seemed like at all times adelman always had two of steve, rafer and mike in the game to make sure that steve n would have to play defense. Rafer always seems to play good against the suns btw. And when he attacks the basket and goes for layups, not teardrops, he's way more effective.
key was establishing yao down low early and often, this slowed down their transition game, wonderful job all around from the players to the coaches
i dont think either side can attribute the outcome of this game to the refs.... they just called it as awkwardly as i've ever seen. both teams had solid gripes throughout, whether it was a lack of a call here or a phantom call there. one thing i have noticed, at least in the past few rockets games, was the referee's allowing the game to played at a more physical level. maybe the league is trying to get away from the constant tick-tack calls which ruin the flow of the game (imo). another theory is that this is the league's way of reffing yao fairly.... while they still wont call the fouls yao receives down low when he has the ball, they're also allowing us (and him) to get away with being more physical on the defensive end.... sorta negating one with the other. just a thought.
Yeah that wrap-around pass to Scola was definitely a travel on Steve, but hey, we get enough of those non-calls working against us, it's about time one goes our way.
You did not pick up this quote from a Suns fan which should be reminded to every player on the Rockets team: "If you play like a collective b****, expect to get treated like one - both by the opponent AND the refs"
they werent slow!!! we slowed them down, where is the credit to our defense!!! guess we'll just have to beat them again
Now if they can start fining for flops, that'd be great. They mentioned this in a telecast recently. I think that's what they should do. Maybe you can't make the call realtime, but maybe have someone off to the side, or postgame reviewing things and fine for flops. The flop is really in essence cheating. Trying to fool the refs. Try to fool a casino and see what happens.
Yeah that seems to be one of the keys. Don't let Nash be the ignitor for the Phoenix O. It also seems like shutting down the other players and letting Nash be the scorer's works too as while Nash might get 30 the rest of the team is disfunctional if they can't get the ball from him.
