I am very glad Yao played very well against the Suns compared to the last game. He is not nervous in this game compare to last. I am not sure why he played nervous in the last game against the Suns.
Here is the link for this game. You can watch it anytime you like. http://broadband.nba.com/cc/playa.p...om/wmedia/nbacom/lp_archives/20071128_217.asx I have to post it here since I am not a member. You are welcome to post it to somewhere else.
Yao should've fall on top of Steve Nash for trying that cheap kick ****. And this is what I'm talking about on what Rockets basketball is all about. High motion offense, Tracy being the facilitator dishing the rock, and Yao being the dominating scorer on the low post. Now this is what Rockets basketball is all about. Rick Adelman is finally listening!
OK i think the first half specially, the rockets rotated to the open man around the arc very well. Our defense has pretty much shut down and deny their shooting behind the arc. second half was good too, but toward the end of 3rd and pretty the 4th quarter we let nash and Barbosa have some good open looks. Barbosa's shoots are just not falling. he's having a bad game. overall our defense was great, we did let skinner score his only goal and we were sleeping on that defensive play. we still need to shoot better, but i am happy with this win and SF is back!!!
Exactly. Kudos to Adelman. Seeing Steve take it to the hoop at the end after a pass from Tracy who was being chased around is what I have been envisioning.
first of the way the ref. let the players play the game was a joy! lop sided in favor of the suns in the first half but in the second they swallowed there whistles and let the best team win! they could of called it on steve on the block but didnt! nash trip yao no call! was crap he could have hurt yao bad!
Is it possible these refs were warned after they officiated poorly against one of recent games (I can't remember which one but in that game Yao only got a few calls and the rest also got very little or none)? So they swallow their whistle this time.
huge win!!!.....way to Yao and Steve...i was pretty excited about this one as I usually give up on the rockets when they play the suns before the jump...they surprised me with this win...
The Rockets defensive scheme was to switch on EVERYTHING. Sometimes this meant Scola or Hayes on Nash after a pick and roll, which is one reason Nash scored so much. But they were able to really limit the shot opportunities of the Pheonix role players. The game was also ref'ed very loose in the second half, with no foul calls for either team inside on lots of plays that could have obviously been called fouls with a different set of refs. We were able to play thru the non calls and Pheonix was not.
One of the great wins in four years, Rick A, I told you that Francis could play the ball, the funny thing is that Rafer starts to play well since Francis is on the court.
Mutombo's photo's with Francis says it all. The passion and guts that was missing was back, otherwise we would have lost again. Francis will have tough nights but it was great to see the Rockets pull out a difficult win.
i dont wanna hear none of that nonsense about steve francis being washed up. HE IS THE REAL DEAL and has been since he was first here. Rafer has stepped up his play whenever francis plays so in a domino effect we ARE A BETTER TEAM WITH STEVE ON THE FLOOR
