NO. Don't use this as an excuse for a win. We ALWAYS end up playing the Suns on the last game of a back to back.
LOL! A couple of times my wife said, "Great play by Steve!," and I said it was, but he traveled. If they don't call it....
Do you know how many players in the entire league typically shoot over .500 by the end of the season? A handful. Why don't you set your expectations a little higher? Let's hope that the team shoots 95% from the field every game and averages 250 points per game. Would that be good enough for you?
I almost forgot to mention that. The referees were absolutely terrible. There were at least 9 or 10 terrible calls in that game, mostly against Houston.
I think it's better to have the responsibility spread around to all the guards than just the 'It's On me' Tmac of the last couple seasons... He doesn't need that pressure. I mean, Tmac's stat line for this WIN is very reasonable regardless of his missed FTs and mellow 2nd half. He still made the right play at the end - giving it to Steve.
I did not see TMac play that bad at all. Yao was rolling so he defered a little bit. Maybe that last jumper by him, he could wave Yao away to open the lane and drive to the hood. But according to Fran from Chronicles, some one was supposed to cut. He can not expect Tmac light it up every game. A sweat win for Rockets' self-confidence especially for Yao and Steve. Nothing beats giving a huge effort and coming up at the winning end of it.
and that's the great thing. if we become less dependent on tmac as we go along in the season, he will feel less pressure and maybe he will reach ANOTHER level b/c he feels so confident in his teammates. again, we're SLOWLY but truly becoming a great team.
Ladies and Gentlemen: A very simple question is being posed to you: What was your favorite part of tonight's awesome victory? Mine was Stevie's dance after blocking Stoudemire followed in terms if favorite play with Scola's lay up where he displayed some impressive hang time.
I am encouraged by this game. Not only because we won, which is always sweet, but also they way we played. We shut down Phoenix's offense in the 2nd half pretty pretty good. That's the way to play them. They are a good team, sometimes you play them the right way, you still lose, but at least it gives you better chance beating them. We have experimented all kinds of stuff against Phoenix over the years, rain treys with them, pound to yao, quick v quick, always came a little short. But tonight is encouraging. We controled tempo, played to our strength, didnt get crazy with them. That's how Spurs would play them and consistently beat them. Though, it was still a close game. The ball could bounce Sun's way next time, but that's the way to play them. Also in the end, we didnt overload Tmac on offense, which made this win much sweeter. Had it been Tmac's brilliance again, I would have some doubt as regard whether we found the way.
we won,we won,we won,i cant believe we won!!! i just wanna say Nash is not a human being,he is a freak we almost got destroyed by Nash, fortunately,we won ,that's all that matters Warriors is ahead of us,a tough game for Yao!!!
The very good thing is that tis time even though Tmac had an off night, we still won!!! We successfully controlled the tempo of the game in the fourth court and turned Nash into a scorer.
