Could mean we have a quick backcourt, no?

It doesn't have to do with battier. Did you guys see T-mac blow by the smaller guards this game? He is quick enough so it really doesn't matter.

Not a bad idea. I'd like to see Bonzi instead of Snyder though. Don't get me wrong I like Snyder a lot as well but Bonzi is 'inifinitely' more talented than Snyder. James, Battier and Snyder would be nice off the bench depending on what you're looking for you get firepower, outside shooting, defense and hustle (nice change of pace). But I'm a firm believer in the fact that you've got to start your best 5 and that's

    1)Francis
    2)Bonzi
    3)McGrady
    4)Scola
    5)Yao

Now if we could get 23000 other members to understand this......

    Here is simple logic

    Lebron = 3, Sasha Pavlovic(or Hughes) = 2

T-Mac guards Pavlovic, Shane guards Lebron
Lebron guards Shane, Pavlovic guards T-Mac

    Kobe = 2, Walton = 3

T-Mac guards Walton, Shane guards Kobe
Kobe guards Shane, Walton guards T-Mac

It doesn't matter anymore, 2 or 3 either way its a wingman.

T-Mac guards Walton, Shane guards Kobe
Kobe guards Shane, then soon after guards T-Mac
    T-Mac guards Walton :p

Hmm, isnt Rudy Gay listed as a Forward-Guard? :(

Adelman has previously experimented with smaller lineups and he did in this last game so we might see T-Mac at the three more.

I like the idea with t-mac at the 3. Just seems like t-mac isn't quick anymore but tall and lanky. If we move tracy to the 3 then his shooting percentage will go down due to the taller players but he'll be able to take it to the basket more. I just want to see more playing time for the guards. There's too many good guards that get less opportunities to perform.

if you put tmac at the 3 for offensive purpose... then you dropping battier's minutes for more guards to play. so far, rick has valued battier's minutes more than franics/snyder playing. it's a matter of opinion, on which player you want to see play.

If you take Battier off the court with Tracy and Yao on it, you better have a better 3 point threat than what's left out of Rafer and the 4 spot. I think that's why Battier will always have a starting position on this team as long as #1 and #11 are starting. I say put Luther in simply b/c he's a sharpshooter.

I know no one will agree, but look at a lot of the shots outside of Tracy and Yao during the beginning minutes of a game. They are open threes a lot of the time. Sometimes the starting lineup is not the 5 best players, but the best 5 player combo.

Has always made sense to me, rotate Battier in. I would like to see five scorers on the floor at one time.

correct. we could start the right combo and still have plenty of firepower off the bench.

    1 - sf3
    2 - snyder
    3 - tmac
    4 - scola
    5 - yao

then we still have battier, bonzi, mike james, and hayes (all hustle) coming off the bench. is that what we want our second unit to do? just run the pants off the other team?

or we could start bonzi and shorten the rotation. either way it works.

    I think Moving T-Mac to the 3
allows more FIREPOWER in the Starting Line up.

    Even if you do
Alston - SFrances - Tmac - Hayes and Yao
it is more offensively POTENT than
    Alston - T-Mac - Battier - Hayes and Yao

Do we call a forward who plays at the 3 and can also pass the ball a 'point forward'?
