I am barely catching up, don't know the current score... Ricky Williams got stepped on his shoulder by TIMMONS... I AM PISSED that those f*ck*ng ESPN mo fos didn't catch it until later... I am throwing fits here... RW went to get an x-Ray... Anyway, I don't know what time the game is on, but I am still p*ssed at that p*ssy ass play by Lawrence Timmons on the Steelers' D. Ricky lost the ball, and Timmons stepped on Ricky. I don't support RW at all, but that was pretty mean. I hope the NFL fines #94.
it was accidental, ricky fumbled and timmons just tried to go after the ball and stepped on ricky in the process. He wont be fined since it was all in the heat of the play.
You didn't watch the replay. It looked BLATANT to me, man. I have been replaying that three or four times... you don't step on people. I hope his *ss gets fined. 0-0 Halftime. The field is nasty, can't see the numbers AT ALL. The water has washed all markings except for endlines and endzone pilon lines.
I saw it was still 0-0 and had to turn it on. I saw a Miami punt literally embed itself into the turf like a javelin. Then, I saw a Pittsburgh FG attempt from 44 yards away go wide left by about 20 yards (and probably short as well, but hard to tell). Miami's on their 3rd string RB now, and the dirtiest jersey on their offense seems to belong to John Beck. It's close, though, and I guess that counts for something. [edit to answer Cannonball's following post: 5 games for Haynesworth, I believe]
What's up with ESPN and all these lame turkey Monday night games? Games involving Miami, Buffalo, San Fransisco, Atlanta, New Orleans etc... They paid a ton of $$$ for the rights to broadcast the games and can't even get a decent showing. Tell me when was the last time they had a MNF game worth watching? Looking at the rest of the schedule and games worth watching New England at Baltimore: Maybe New Orleans at Atlanta: NO Chicago at Minnesota: NO Denver at San Diego: Hell NO 0-0 in the 4th quarter, zZZ put me to sleep now!
SOCCER/FOOTBALL score... 0-0. Awesome to see NO ONE score. Futility! <- Mortal Kombat guy voice. Anyway, I think that since this STEPPING incident is in the middle of the play and in the heat of the moment, no one caught it. I don't think he will be fined, but I hope he does.
I just tuned in. But I know that they layed a 2nd field on top of another field. They were afraid that would affect drainage and it apparantly has.
I have been watching the replay, it seems completely incidental to me. And yes you can step on people, you dont mean to but it happens. Think of it this way, ITS A FUMBLE, hes not going to take the time to step on someone when there is a loose ball. He even recovered it so that should be enough evidence that he didnt mean any ill will.
That field was horrible. 3 high school games, 1 collegiate game, and this NFL game in 4 days... That was straight up mush out there.
That's lame. Even baseball scores are better than this. The lowest combined score in a game between the Pirates and Marlins in 2007 was 5, when the Pirates beat Florida 3-2.
