a timely injury to bonzi...he has played horribly and it opens up minutes for other more dedicated athletic players...im not sure hes even hurt, but who cares...its a great break for the rockets

Agreed. I also think he should take some responsibility for rockets losses.

    Then why was Adelman playing?

Is he gonna be like Stro, where he got minutes early in the season, but eventually the coach realized he sucked?

Naaa i think bonzi still gets 15 minutes a game as long as he's healthy. We saw how he punished the spurs, he's a good 1 v 1 scorer, and he rebounds exceptionally well for his position, which lets adleman go small with the 2nd unit and creates extra possesions through offensive boards.

I think the guy who loses out in all this is Luther. RA gave him his minutes, and while he did hit the open 3 and cut hard, he played matador defense and was a terrible ball handler. Considering also the year Bonzi played under RA for the kings, i figure he'll get consistent burn, while luther will get consistent bench, from here on out.

Sounds like the original poster doesn't like Bonzi, but whatever - he's had some good games and some bad ones. I like him coming off the bench and taking mins away from the offensively impotent Battier. I agree with Htown57's analysis as well.

Adelman: Bonzi you look pretty banged up.

Bonzi: Coach, I'm fine. It was just a sprained ankle. I can still play.

Adelman: Listen, I think you should go out and rest a little. Have a little cheesecake and spend some quality time with your 13 kids.

Bonzi: Coach, I'm alright. I can play.

Adelman: Go home Bon-Bon, get some rest.

bonzi's numbers are worse than rafers's. luther and bonzi will lose minutes to steve and snyder...and the offense is back or was denver a joke on defense?

Except for one 6 minute stretch in the 3rd quarter, Denver was a joke on defense. But our offense was better too.

Bonzi will still get playing time. He's our only big G/F besides Kirk.

actually what we need is an injury to rafer, so we are force to use Mike/SF3 instead of rafer to pair up with tmac/yao. And maybe even a little action from AB.

Adelman should just go for the 10-man rotation thing...

    TMac/Yao/Batt/Chuck/Alston...

Don't think Chuck/Alston should be in there all the time starting...

    MJ/SF/Deke/Scola/Bonz...

Head and Snyder are odd-men out, but can play if there's a personal foul extravaganza. Head can be sent in there for 3-point assassin situations. Snyder can go in when needed for extra energy.

I think Steve had shown what he adds to the team. Some nights, Deke won't have to play, but I like him blocking shots and getting rebounds in there when Yao is out. :p

He was injured in the previous game. Hurt his ankle, x-rays inconclusive was the report, but MRI revealed not serious problems, day to day situation.

The injury gave Coach a chance to sit out not only Bonzi vs the nuggets but also Head. Stevie got a good early run and played well.

I really do want Rafer to get injured or atleast fake an injury. He can't hurt our stats from the bench. Thats my opinion and i'm sticking with it

C'mon man.. are you serious?? Why would you wish injury upon your OWN player? I understand if it's against Dirk or Manu, but even that's just in bad taste. What you should've said was that you want Rafer to get better.. then maybe we can trade him later on for a better PG.

Moving along, I have missed the last couple of games, what happened to Bonzi? I really don't see Bonzi being dog-housed. I really don't. This is just ONE good performance by Steve and as much as I want to say he should start over MJ and Rafer.. I still need to see him get some more burn to show if last night was just a desperate fluke kinda deal. I do want him to get minutes, but I'm not gonna make any rash judgment based on one good game. Especially against a team that was on an extreme low in performance and couldn't get anything going on both sides of the court.

You guys are disgusting and a disgrace to all Rockets fans.
How can you wish injuries upon OUR players?! I think some of you want to break Alston's knee Shaun-Livingston Style right?
I don't share your thoughts on this one. I dont want anyone to get hurt, no, not even Dirk, Terry, or Cuban
